There’s been a mysterious change in Trump's demeanor — and no one knows why
Business Insider ^ | Feb. 2, 2018 | Allan Smith

President Donald Trump has been relatively subdued in recent weeks — and his poll numbers have spiked.

The trend can be traced back to the passing of the news cycle about his "shithole countries" remark from the middle of last month. In the weeks that followed, he has only posted a handful of acerbic or unnecessary tweets — virtually unprecedented for such a length of time — and delivered a series of speeches that remained on message.

It's a frequent occurrence for Trump to initiate a days- or weeks-long news cycle on a subject unrelated to the message he and his administration were trying to drive home.

And the trend has been noticed by observers.

"I have noticed," Alex Conant, a Republican strategist and communications director for Sen. Marco Rubio's 2016 presidential campaign, told Business Insider in an email. "The president's shown more message discipline in the last month than he did in all of 2017. It's directly correlated with general improvement in his poll numbers."

Conant is right about the correlation between Trump's weeks of relative calm and the improved polling. On Thursday, Trump's approval rating reached its highest point in months, according to the RealClearPolitics aggregate of polls...

Trump is making the biggest deal of his life right now. It is what he wants to do and I am glad he wants to do it. He does understand what is at stake but he could not maintain his sanity and composure in the face of the onslaught of attacks on him if he did not truly enjoy the “game”.

I do not lionize him but have thought he is crazy like a fox from the outset. I am not sure I would like him but I do like what he is accomplishing. He has consistently shown qualities that I admire when he is not posturing in the ring of battle. I do not like controversy and conflict but will rise to it when challenged. Trump on the other hand lives for it though he does not start it.

One of the keys to success for a leader is to be just a little wild and crazy. It keeps your enemies off balance. I also think the sobriety is an asset to clear thinking. I have worked with people who were drunks and coke heads. Their thoughts bear this out. They were otherwise smart but instead addled especially after lunch.

Nah...didn’t you notice the drop of the DOW the day of the release. Down 666 points.

Now, that’s a message coming straight from the pedos and Baelians that they still control the country. Q told me right after he saw them eat a fresh batch of babies.

Mr. Smith:

If YOU had recently found it true that attempts were being planned to snuff YOU out, along with members of your family, would you be pensive and contemplative on the best way to move forward?

Or, would YOU be so angry that you could not speak (or in your case, type) a coherent sentence. How would YOU feel to find that the leaders in this nation, all for the love of POWER and MONEY, were planning to do such a thing to a fellow AMERICAN CITIZEN?

I, too, would remain speechless, with the breath knocked out of me. This is BOB’s and HRC LEGACY.

“Trump may be alone in this war”

There are certainly other people that, whether or not they personally like Trump, will join a battle to eliminate the serious corruption that’s been proven to exist.

Trump says memo ‘totally vindicates’ him in Mueller probe
NY POST ^ | February 3, 2018 | Mary Kay Linge
Posted on 2/3/2018, 7:46:24 AM by COUNTrecount

President Trump condemned the actions of the FBI and Department of Justice as “an American disgrace” in a Saturday morning tweet.

He hit “send” almost simultaneously on two different messages about two of his favorite subjects – the Russia investigation and his poll numbers – as his motorcade rolled toward Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Fla., where the first family is spending the weekend.

“This memo totally vindicates “Trump” in probe,” Trump posted at 9:40 am, referring to the document issued Friday by Rep Devin Nunes of the House Intelligence Committee.

“But the Russian Witch Hunt goes on and on,” Trump went on. “Their was no Collusion and there was no Obstruction (the word now used because, after one year of looking endlessly and finding NOTHING, collusion is dead). This is an American disgrace!”

Trump has frequently railed against Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe of Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election and the Trump campaign’s alleged collusion with the effort. Trump has repeatedly denied that allegation.

Great pickup/find here. This loser did a great job for Rubio!

In other words, a loser.

In candid moments he seems to me like he thinks the whole investigation thing is going to flip soon sort of like he turned the tables on the Dems and Media over the government shutdown.

Once again, President Donald J. Trump has been badly misunderestimated.

Donald Trump has always been a much deeper thinker than most people can imagine. And not only a deeper thinker, but a much quicker one, too. Behind that blustery persona, lies a highly attuned judge of character, who can fit imperfect people to slots that may seem to some to be an insurmountable challenge in the view of available resources, or way beyond the level of competence ever shown by that person, then uses this application of both Parkinson’s Law (the task assigned will expand to take up the time allotted to it) and Peter’s Principle (underlings are promoted to the level of their incompetence, then rise no further).

It’s a gift, and I for one shall not look at that gift just trying to find a fatal flaw. It is enough that the talents of President Trump are available and being used to the extent they can operate within the constraints to which they are subject.

The social media is the only way the American people know what President Trump is saying or doing. The presstitutes in the alphabet press sure don’t help him communicate with the people in the fly over country. Personally, I think he’s just waiting for the next shoe to drop.
