With the rise of the #MeToo movement and national crackdown on harassment in the workplace, a survey on office romance says love is not in the air when it comes to co-workers dating.
CareerBuilders annual Valentines Day poll found that office romances have fallen to a 10-year low with only 36 percent of workers admitting to dating a co-worker. Just last year, the same survey reported that 41 percent of co-workers had dated.

#MeToo taking credit for something that it hasn’t been around long enough to affect.
hmm. didn’t see that coming.
How are young people supposed to find someone when they are working all day?
Men would have to be morons to proposition co-workers in the present conditions.
Five years from now the hashtag will be from women bitching that they can’t get a date.
yup...i’ve worked for the same company for 31 years and for 31 years i’ve mostly kept my mouth shut around hot female employees unless they start the conversation...i’ve been pegged as “unfriendly” but screw them- i have no intention of something i said being taken the wrong way...

IOW, even though dating is not sexual harassment, it's no longer worth the risk, time, or trouble -- particularly in showbiz. Thanks C19fan.
I wonder how many people just aren’t admitting to it any more.
I was a manager in an industry where the workforce was 85% female. I got dragged to the mandatory quarterly corporate brow-beatings on sexual harassment. Basically:
- Don’t tell them they look nice
- Don’t crack any jokes
- Don’t make eye contact for more than four seconds

Don’t need to wait five years. I have seen a lot of articles written by woman complaining after giving up their best years (18 to 30) for their careers and now want to find a husband...there are none available. Well that is not true. There are none that meet their criteria. Sadly they will remain unmarried, childless, and living with cats.
So sad, but they did it to themselves.
is(are?) hook-ups considered dating ?
Everyday I thank my lucky stars I am married and don’t have to go through all this sh*t singles go through today.
Romances? Romances take time. More like flings.
I married my coworker and yes, we men are morons;)
Actually, we are still coworkers and still married. but, all of the sexual harassment stopped, both at work and at home, years ago:(
Thank god for my blessedly female-free work environment. Just a bunch of dudes making stuff and making money, drama free!
I like a statement a single Navy Lieutenant I worked with said when I asked him why he didn’t try going out with a couple of nice single ladies in our Agency: “You don’t sh!t where you eat.”
