Does anyone know if Federal grand juries continue to work during government shutdowns? Because given the potentially stunning information in the House FISA memo - containing information that Congressmen who've seen it say would send people to jail - it is mighty suspicious that Chuck Schumer decided to give up on DACA concessions he had in hand to let the government close.

I’m starting to think during the meeting yesterday the President gave Chucky an offer he couldn’t refuse.

I’m thinking that POTUS informed the senator that Chucky was going to shut down government and the senator wouldn’t have a choice in the matter.

Did Chucky look shaken when he left the WH?

When Chucky was ‘speeching’ in the Senate, he read it. When was the last time Chucky needed crib notes/written speech to attack the President or Republicans?

Did POTUS show Chucky a copy of the House memo?

I’ve read that POTUS has more “executive freedom of action” during a government shutdown, but I’m not an expert and don’t know this to be true.

It sure seems like IF that’s true, POTUS could leverage Chucky to cause the shutdown and allow POTUS some elbow room. Maybe for the next ten days or so?
