Two op-eds in this weekends Wall Street Journal and one on this website brilliantly call attention to aspects of the vast political and cultural change, still in its early stages, that is gathering force in this country as inexorably as the spring thaw breaks up a frozen river, first as a trickle and then a torrent. Donald Trump figures in all three stories. He is at once a cause and an effect of the changethe Tea Party movement embodied and in power, and as much a rejection of the existing order of things as the mob that swarmed onto British ships in Boston Harbor 245 years ago and flung overboard their cargo of tea whose tax they refused to pay in a gesture of defiance that declared No more! And they meant it.
Peggy Noonans Journal column observes that after Trump there will never again be a normal president. Never again, that is, will we elect some apparatchik from the haughty, out-of-touch, overpaid political class that has given us generations of arbitrary rule by the Administrative States unelected experts too inept to see a financial hurricane brewing;

In the same paper, Shelby Steele points out that the lesson we should draw from the National Football League protestorswhose kneeling at the National Anthem drew much-publicized jeers from Trump and drove fans away from the stadiumsis that the days of black protest are over, because past years of heroic protest succeeded in making black Americans truly free (as Gene Dattels Reckoning With Race argued recently). The campus snowflakes worries about microaggressions, the Black Lives Matter protests, the armies of deans of diversity are all obsolete.

On this site, Andrew Klavan dazzlingly argues that rude and crude President Trump, who speaks like a Queens real estate guy on a construction site, nevertheless speaks truths that well-mannered people are too cowed by political correctness to admitsuch critically important truths as that violent criminals are disproportionately black, for instance, or that most terrorists are Muslim.

You make Barry bathhouse time lots of fun,

Cute and yellow and chubby

Moments ago the DJIA stood at 26066.
That is 45.7% higher than the opening mark on 11/07/16.
The DJIA is less than 800 points from a 50% gain from that date.
Are we winning yet?
.. crashes like a bull through the crystal madhouse of their leftismwell, good. Its about time.

(........................... a grin from ear to ear...........................................)
Time to place a big RED F on BO’B’s forehead....which is a symbol to many interpretations.
How true...and loving it
If Trump does nothing else than drive a stake through political correctness and end the stranglehold of the left’s toxic identity politics, his administration would be worth it.
Day, swing. graveyard. When's paradigm?
Stolen for a new tagline...
AND...the same party that supports the baseness of Hollyweird, the sexualization of children with sex education at age 5, and the promotion of "hard" RAP which demeans women...THAT Party? Quite the hypocrites...they make me want to puke.
And fixing the curly quotes. *sigh*
Kenyas favorite son...
Sure, its the press/media/PC fault, but thats how things stand. Hope he can do more to win over the more moderate types, and less to turn them off. Because bottom line, for me its not about Trump, its about our side WINNING.
Best election, best POTUS, evah!
Many thanks for posting that!
Great to be on the Trump train!
MAGA !!
Prior to Trump's candidacy and election, all attempts to point out the failures and social/economic costs of multiculturalism were treated by politicans and media as the untouchable radical fringe of politics. Now, we get to have a real debate about the many 300 lb gorillas in the room that "respectable" Republicans weren't supposed to talk about.
Enjoying the huge paradigm shift going with the Black Swan where we take back how we live from the PC Deep State thugs.
Not how the Intellectuals yet Idiots tell us how to live, what to eat, where to live and who to vote for.
It’s early, but if Trump keeps winning for 7 more years I dare say he will rank higher than Rinaldus Maximus.
Trump can now tell all the “Dreamers” that their homeland is not a $***hole and they should be happy to go back there! It’s Paradise. All they have to do i ask Dickie Durbin and the D Crowd.
Make that Thanks Little Dirty Sticky Dickie.
