GOP congressman declines to challenge Dem senator in North Dakota

Rep. Kevin Cramer, a North Dakota Republican, announced Thursday he will not challenge sitting Democratic Sen. Heidi Heitkamp in the Senate race this fall.

During an interview with KFYR radio, Cramer said he and his family decided the best decision was for him to just run again for his House seat. The move is seen as a blow to Republicans who hope to pick up the seat in the traditionally deep red state.

Cramer's announcement comes after Cramer told CNN last week that President Donald Trump was urging him to run for Senate.

Excellent point, my friend.

We certainly don’t want general election voters to get the impression they are conservative.

Manchin has been upset before, by Charlotte Pritt in the 1996 Gov primary, though she was far short of 50% and likely would have lost a runoff with Manchin. Still I pray the Berner psychotic might pull it off.

Any details about the bribe?

When mentioning the possibiliy that Manchin might lose a Democrat primary, I think that you’re better off saying “hey, stranger things have happened” than pointing to how he once lost a Democrat primary *in 1996*. I think that Manchin has built up a bit of goodwill during the past 21 years. And no state has changed more electorally since 1996 than has WV.

The GOP wants to lose both houses. Doesn’t effect the safe RINOS at all.

The republicans figure no matter what they do, they are going to be excoriated by the fake news, the rat party and the liberfarians. I see the comments even on this site and think, why would anyone want to run for office.

Check out the old media empire and you will see why the rats get elected. As they say, Republicans are the least fit to rule. It will be interesting to watch the rise of the communist and socialist parties.

What subsidies are they getting? Highway funds, SS, urban development, Medicare, law enforcement?

Exactly. No matter what the GOP accomplishes they are excoriated by the dems, other so-called republicans, the rat media, socialists, communists, etc. the communists and socialists are steadily gaining traction.

If you want to complain about subsidies, here is a company making 100s of billions getting a 9 million dollar grant. Achates and Aramco plan a series of opposed-piston engine development projects, Johnson said.

The pickup demonstration is the first of the projects. The engine being used was developed by Achates under a $9-million grant from the federal Department of Energy.”

Elon Musk, one man and his company have received more than 6 billion, and you are worried about food producers getting a few thousand a year back so we can keep food artificially cheap.

I’m not in favor of any government handouts no matter who gets them.

Farmers get a miniscule share. Do you take your tax deductions as some would call these handouts too?

I try to pay the least amount of taxes that I legally can.

I don’t believe in government handouts. That is taking my money and giving it to someone else.

The RNC???

They are half of the problem. The other half is the DNC/dems/libs.
= = = = = = = = = = = =
The ‘system’ has ALWAYS been a tad corrupt BUT when Gore lost by a ‘hanging chad’ (The ONLY thing that really bothered me about that election was that GORE came so close to winning) they (LIBS) basically decreed that it was necessary to get the Atty Gens of each state ‘under control’.

Then there was the summer when RNC basically ran AGAINST (at least) 4? R candidates in NJ, DE, UT, MS and I believe that was also the year they dumped on Cuccinelli-anyway around the 2012-13 elections/primaries.

I believe Priebus ‘orchestrated’ all of those disasters, virtually snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Granted the choices may have been a little ‘over the top’ but for the Party to openly ‘run against’ their own candidate is a little much THEN one of PDTs first MAJOR mistakes was hiring Priebus who probably was as much ‘never Trump’ as anyone, so maybe he (LP) was supposed to be the active ‘D’ in his camp????(family doesn’t really count in this case..<: <:)

I don’t know what his intention was hiring McCs wife but it sure didn’t ‘bring him around’-—NOT that it should have BUT it appears no one votes for the issue or subject, the PARTY picks a side to take and ALL Sens/Cong etal are supposed to vote the PARTY LINE -— with an exception now and again of someone having to vote against the grain if it will mean ‘losing a seat’ but when 50+- of these clowns can’t agree what time lunch should be served they are ALL on the same page about ‘Nuclear Disarmament’ dependent on the ‘party stance’.

I am not seeing anything in the news about the new RNC chair, Ronna Romney McDaniel. I am getting the sense that she may be another disastrous selection like Reince Priebus and Michael Steele.

I think this is a seat that used to belong to world renowned liar Tom Daschle who managed to con his voter base for about five terms before finally being primaried or outright defeated. In any case, I think the citizens of this state suffer from brain freeze.
