People who have never personally assessed President Trump have lately been diagnosing him with mental illness and discussing the ramifications of this diagnosis that they made up.
Dr. Brandy Lee, a professor of psychiatry at Yale, a university that is supposed to be highly respected, told Newsweek that, if possible, she and other like-minded psychiatrists would "be declaring a public health emergency that needs to be responded to as quickly as possible."
As more time passes, we come closer to the greatest risk of danger," she added, "one that could even mean the extinction of the human species. This is not hyperbole. This is the reality.
That's not hyperbole, guys! Just the end of humanity forever.
You might think this violates the Goldwater Rule, which bars members of the American Psychiatric Association from commenting on the mental health of someone without actually examining them. It is so named because, during the 1964 presidential election, a magazine surveyed psychiatrists on whether or not Goldwater was psychologically fit to become president- and more than 2,000 responded, some who decided against him even suggesting a specific diagnosis. According to The American Psychiatric Association, "Simply put, breaking the Goldwater Rule is irresponsible, potentially stigmatizing, and definitely unethical." Apparently, that simple rule is too complex for Lee. She doesn't believe she broke it by doing the exact thing it says not to do.
Her reasoning is pretty impressive:
We are assessing dangerousness, not making a diagnosis. The two are quite separate: Assessing dangerousness is making a judgment about the situation, not the person. The same person may not be dangerous in a different situation, for example. And it is his threat to public health, not his personal affairs, that is our concern.
Lee also made headlines for stating in Vox just days ago:
"Surprisingly, many lawyer groups have actually volunteered, on their own, to file for a court paper to ensure that the security staff will cooperate with us. But we have declined, since this will really look like a coup, and while we are trying to prevent violence, we dont wish to incite it through, say, an insurrection."
Yes, Ms. Lee. That would look like a coup. You are correct. Don't believe Lee that humans are going to be wiped out? She has an explanation for that, too.
"That's a normal human response to such a monumental risk of danger that is before us."
Oh, ok. Good to know.
Another psychiatrist.
And one wonders why we math/physics types consider that profession to be right down there with social justice majors.
Rinky-dink diagnosis by chink fink
“This is not hyperbole”.
Really? That’s exactly what it sounds like to me.
I remember reading about a Hillary Clinton snowflake aid getting hysterical at the Clinton after-election meeting. He said something to the effect that “you old people” would be fine but HE would be killed by Global Warming - thanks to their stupid campaigning! Then I believe he flounced out of the meeting in a huff.
What a colossal jackass!
Wait, isn’t extinction of humans what leftists WANT?
< / abortion > < / euthanasia>
Brandy MoonBat has spoken.
Here’s to President Trump causing extinctions of the leftist and jihadist species.
Ms. Lee. , you’re an IDIOT!!!
Isn't that the name of a biker chick that Billy Joel wrote a song about?
Bandy, not Brandy
Only liberals.
Wasn’t Yale supposed to be some sort exclusive school? If so, how did this idiot get hired?
Who the heck is she to judge Trump? She wasn't even around when he was building an empire.
Brandy love you long time with lucky fortune plum.
He could cause the planet to crack in half and spiral into the sun. Get that Mars colony up and running quick!!
Total bull shit by a mush brained communist.
Libs should be joyous at that.
Many of them still push the Zero-population Growth idea and many even advocate the eradication of millions of humans.
I would fear some of the radical ‘solutions’ of the climate change people more than President Trump.
