A research firm that compiled a dossier of sometimes salacious information about U.S. President Donald Trump’s contacts with Russians failed to block a congressional bid to see its banking records.

U.S. District Judge Richard Leon in Washington agreed on Thursday that information sought by the House Intelligence Committee is pertinent to its probe of Russian influence in the 2016 presidential election. The judge rejected Fusion GPS’s argument that disclosure of the data could reveal secrets about the firm’s clients and devastate its business.

It will be interesting to find out if taxpayers helped pay for this garbage through the FBI and DOJ...

I see a lot of John Deans and very few G. Gordon Liddys in this crew.

And they should. There are consequences for such subversive action. Problem is? There are so many news agencies doing the same thing on a smaller less aggressive scale it will be hard to adequately address the issue. The Press is no longer free, they are no longer Journalists but have become the Press-titutes (they do it for the money)

Fusion paid a number of “reporters” to carry their story.
THAT will be interesting...

more likely because Fusion’s business is creating fake news and injecting it into the mainstream media - once everyone knows who you are and what you are up to, you lose a lot of your effectiveness, and clients are more wary of being associated with you

Glenn Simpson and David Brock both started out their careers working for Insight Magazine in the 1980s. Insight no longer exists but was then a weekly newsmagazine like Time or Newsweek that was published by the Washington Times.

I find this common background interesting and relevant.

Glenn went on to the Wall Street Journal and then the Fusion GPS, where people paid him to concoct fabricated stories and he, in turn, paid journalists to make up crap. He sold his soul to the devil basically.

Brock went on to work for The American Spectator where he was “turned” by Hillary to be an ally and was paid to write lies about her and the right and eventually funded setting up Media Matters and other Clinton-front groups.

Clearly the Clintons knew how to spot vulnerable young journalists and pay them to become their media prostitutes and vehicles for disinformation. Both have black hearts and are exceedingly wicked, vile human beings.

Both men are in their 50s and their impact has peaked and they are now vulnerable to being exposed as the traitors they are and eventually paying a price for their perfidy.

I eagely await the day when the get their just desserts.

Rumors have it Fusion has been paying off well-known journalists for years to run propaganda, and this will be the smoking gun.

"Rumors have it Fusion has been paying off well-known journalists for years to run propaganda, and this will be the smoking gun."

But this will focus only on the dossier. It is not supposed to be a Mueller-type fishing expedition.
