In a recent pre-Christmas interview with C-SPAN, Roger Stone, a former adviser to President Trump, dropped a bombshell: Members of President Trump’s own Cabinet are plotting to remove him. According to Stone, his sources within the administration say administration officials have discussed invoking the 25th Amendment to boot the president out of office.

IMO, this is about as credible as a report that the 2ndMarDiv has landed at Langley, and the Marines are frog-marching the spooks into the parking lot and summarily executing them.
So the saboteurs confided this to Roger Stone? Why am I having a hard time believing this?

From your large, bold sentence, I take it you think Freepers are dummies who believe everything they read on FR and have to be told not to do so. Do you really believe this? That has not been my observation.
In my experience, Freepers read, think, and question...and they are very good at it. They have many and varied talents which they use to dig into areas which others may find objectionable. Then, for our benefit, they post here, and let others be free to assess and determine what they wish to believe.
I don’t know any Freeper who likes being told what they should and should not believe. But, it IS a FREE Republic after all, and thus, you are FREE to do so.

You echo my thoughts. I believe that they believe they can control the process and the outcome. I strongly doubt that, as once it goes hot for real, all bets are off. It will be ugly beyond imagination, with pols and the press being primary targets and subject to many years of built-up dissatisfaction, feelings of betrayal and general desire for retribution. Add to that the years of personal animosity and "scores to be settled", and we have a disastrous free-for-all. There will be NO controlling it, and the results will be ugly, but the Tree of Liberty has not been watered in many years and she is parched.
No one in their right mind wants this, yet it seems to be the target they are hurling towards.
As JFK said in 1962, "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."

Sure they are. Look at the war on ISIS which is failing and the Dow which is down what 10,000 points. Oh and consumer confidence is at record low. Yeah they are doing a number on Trump.
Trumps leadership has invigorated business and it is booming, employment is up, wages are climbing, faith in America is being restored abroad and at home. Despite 17 months of non stop negative coverage from the press his approval rating is 46% per Rasumssen. The same as Obama's at the same point in his presidency with non stop ass kissing by the press. Trump's coverage has been 90+% negative during the same time period and is still 46%.
To quote the ex governor and ex federal prisoner of Louisiana prior to his last successful election in Louisiana when speaking to a reporter, "Mon ami, the only way I will lose this election is if they catch me in bed with a live boy or a dead woman."
He really did say that and he was right.
Trump will prevail.

Interesting. You have a special insight about this sort of thing. I shall have to look for it next time I see him watching PDJT.
If true that Pence thinks Trump is a “putz”, it puts him in a precarious position. He can’t let on how he really feels because the president would cut him out of the loop and eventually choose someone else as VP in 2020. And then there’s the fact that pretending to gush over our President would not mesh too well with his professed Christianity.
I can’t tell if he is sincere or not. He seems always to praise him. What bothers me about him is his close friendship with Flake and Ryan. They say you can tell a lot about a person by the friends he chooses. And those two are beyond despicable and devious, not only in their hatred of our beloved President, but in their globalist policies as well.
At any rate, I will have to be more observant of his eyes next time. Thanks for your insight, MM.
