War with North Korea can be avoided if the Trump administration uses sanctions modeled after President Barack Obama's much-excoriated Iran deal and if everyone just avoids "irresponsible" war predictions that risk "millions of lives," Ohio's Republican Governor John Kasich wrote on Monday.
Kasichwho battled Donald Trump for the Republican presidential nomination last yearoutlined a plan for stronger U.S. sanctions against North Korea in an opinion column in The Washington Post published Monday evening. He slammed Republican Senator Lindsay Graham of South Carolina and other politicians for "predicting odds on the probability of war" against North Korea when there is still time to negotiate.
Kasich even touched the third rail of Republican politics in the bid to be the conscience of the party, praising Obama's ability to bring Iran to the table for nuclear negotiations with harsh sanctions.

.........one of the disadvantages to the public at large of the Internet is that too often The Right in America has to listen to the bilge emanating from mouths like Kasich’s.
The man couldn’t garner 1% of the vote yet what he has to say is forced down our throat almost daily.
John, why not go and deliver mail, you know you are the ass of a mailman...
He begins with a false premise: That the U.S. must avoid war with North Korea.
Everything that follows that is wrong.
Kasich is a complete and total moron. The dumbest bastard to ever be elected in Ohio, left, right or other. Can’t wait for him to get gone.
You mean that Trump should crawl under the desk and fellate Kim?
I think that might not be in Trumps bags of tricks.
Fox News gave him a very fair, impartial interview at the beginning of the GOP presidential primary season. After ten minutes I knew he was repulsive and that I’d not vote for him. He just keeps on proving how right I was.
Why should we pay North Korea $25 billion and provide them with sex slaves and cocaine?
AYFKM!?
Neville Kasich speaks.
Best we ignore him, lest we end up in a similar mess to the one that Chamberlain created.
Why is this guy a republican.
>Why is this guy a Republican.
He’s a trans-republican.
Nice table manners! He is a low class hog.
Kasich is one of Ben Rhodes’ ventriloquist dummies.
Someone should make a video of Obama’s cash drop to Iran using the pallets of cash scene in Point Break.
Thanks Lazamataz. I think job one for Kasich is to kiss enough ass across the aisle to retain his job -- and that's it. Even if he still entertains the notion that he would be a viable POTUS candidate, he'll have his ass handed to him by voters, even before he finds out that there's no $ to back his campaign.
Lol
/doublefacepalm
Is Kasich choking on his food from eating too fast?
