Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not chosen a church wedding just as a "tick-box exercise", says the archbishop of Canterbury.
The Most Rev Justin Welby told BBC Radio 4's Today programme it was up to the couple whether he presided over the ceremony - admitting he had dropped the ring at a recent wedding.
But he was sure that both Prince Harry and Miss Markle had a "profound seriousness" both about their faith and about their relationship.

It’s Diana’s riding instructor, who was a Brit tank commander.
The pair had a close relationship and the boy’s personality (to say nothing of his looks) is VERY similar to the riding instructor.
It shows how far England has fallen that a divorced actress is now considered a suitable candidate to be a Princess and potential future Queen.

James Hewitt was Princess Diana’s riding instructor.
Hewitt and Henry do bear a strong resemblance.
Henry’s children with Megan will be interesting if she is able to conceive. She’s already a little long in the tooth at 36.
He has the family looks and the family "brain". I don't doubt his paternity. It was CHARLES, please recall, who was violating his marriage vows with Ol' Horsey Face.
I think that happens to be a common Brit phenotype.
That common Brit phenotype was Princess Diana’s lover.
Probably an improvement over what genetics Charles could contribute. But unfortunately, Harry got Diana's brains.
I’ beginning to suspect that Harry wants to become an American prince.
It would not surprise me if they bought a place in Los Angeles to be closer to the limelight.
