What the Heck Happened in Alabama?
American Thinker.com ^ | December 15, 2017 | Lloyd Marcus

Years ago, my brother David gave me a nugget of wisdom. He advised, "When faced with a crisis, stabilize your emotions before responding/acting." Thus, I thought it best to wait a day or so before sharing my thoughts about Roy Moore losing in Alabama.

Moore's loss simply does not make sense. Alabama is a red state. It is hard to believe Alabama voters chose Jones, who supports killing babies even at the point of birth, over 38-year-old unproven sexual misconduct allegations against Moore. Yes, I smell the foul stench of Democrat voter fraud in the Alabama senate race.

We've heard the term partial-birth abortion, but most folks don't know what it is. The abortionist takes the entire baby out of its mother except for the head. He then shoves scissors into the baby's brain to kill it. Planned Parenthood is elated when abortionists can murder the baby without too much damage to the baby's head. Intact heads sell for premium prices. Jones supports this horrific evil.

Rather that believing Alabama voters knowingly chose a man who supports murdering babies and trafficking their body parts, I tend to believe fake news media successfully hid Jones' hostility towards unborn innocent human life. Leftists celebrate Jones' mindset because Leftists deem killing babies environmentally responsible; necessary to save the planet from too many humans. Step on a spotted frog and Leftists are outraged at you!

Like nothing we've seen before, Leftists saturated the airwaves, social media, and fake news media with 24/7 attacks on Moore, his wife and anyone supportive of him.

It does and if there is provable voter fraud then we have a very interesting situation.

No they cannot destroy the digital tally this close to the election . There was some conservative fake news on that point which was inaccurate as to how that law works.

Moore lost. Period.

All baggage aside, seems he wasn’t a particularly desirable candidate - certainly not enough to excite the base to get out for an odd-day off-year single-race special election.
As Ann Coulter noted well: Moore failed to articulate the positions which got Trump elected (who won not on personality, but on message).
The label “pedophile” stuck. It may be wrong, unfair, & libelous, but it stuck. He wasn’t able to shake it (because he probably did at 30-something court a 14yo, even if it was non-sexual and parent-approved as culture allowed, not unusual then but intolerable today). The label was easy to attack, and hard to refute; speaking in his defense was uncomfortable. That reduced turnout further.
His opponent out-spent him 10x. Money talks. Lots of money talks loudly.
With a possible win in sight, the opposing base got motivated.
Moore largely ceased campaigning weeks before the election. Resting on laurels is risky.
Jones got out and campaigned _hard_ while Moore was disappearing from view. Marketing works.
Jones might have even had the vote-fraud machine working overtime in his favor.

Darned near everything that could go wrong for Moore did.
Darned near everything that could go right for Jones did.
Result was Jones won - BARELY - with a margin so close that it’s squarely Moore’s fault for losing.

The only reason they didn’t get 100% is because they didn’t want it to look suspicious.

Don’t disagree at all, but the Thread is about why Moore lost the Election. The simple answer, not enough Republican turnout.

What information do you think is being lost with the deletion of digital images of paper ballots, when the paper ballots are retained for 22 months?

Get over Moore's defeat, sheesh.
He LOST. He simply freaking lost.

Oh yea, ignore establishment hatchet job on a man who has served Alabama well for forty years, and his country even longer.

Encourage unsubstantiated accusations just prior to elections.

Ignore voter fraud.

Get over yourself, sheesh!!

**************

Well think about it for a moment. A majority of the voters that were moved to vote
choose his opponent. Why? we don’t each individual’s reasoning but......

Where was Moore for the last 10 days of the campaign? How many events did he attend?
How many miles of the roads in Alabama did he traverse? How many hands did he shake?
How many people did he ask for their support? How many communities across the state
did he visit? How many tv stations did he visit offering an interview? etc. etc.

I don’t know the details of the questions above but if he did actually
get out and campaign hard then apparently he didn’t impress the voters.

On election morning there were locals reporting busloads of Negroes going from voting site to voting site.

You have seen the video of the elated Jones supporter saying they had come from all over the country to vote for him, haven’t you?

Moore probably lost the soccer mom and single mom and single female vote by a landslide. That’s what did him in.

Of course if rat voters are bused in from Neighboring states there are not enough Republican voters to guarantee a win.

Why does that raise any alarm bells?

Doug Jones got 92% of the Democrat general election vote total from 2016 -- in a state where Hillary Clinton didn't have a chance in hell of winning against Donald Trump? Why does that shock you?

Voter turnout in Alabama in 2016 was almost 64%. In 2017 it was about 40%. A lot of people who voted in 2016 decided to stay home in 2017. Most of them were Trump supporters.

Turning out 40% of your voters in an election and then complaining about alleged "voter fraud" in an election you lose by 1.5% is about as 'effing pathetic as anything I've seen on FreeRepublic.

The court ordered the digital tally to be destroyed. After the polls closed it was announced that the paper ballots (which actually are what engender the digital votes) were being destroyed because the court ordered it. The court said nothing about the paper ballots which are used to feed the digital machines in order to have a backup copy in case something goes wrong with the machines.

That may have been a thought, but 92% is far too close to be reasoned.

I have no way of researching this (at least it doesn’t come to mind),
but I’d be very surprised to find one other off-year election where
92% of the last general election’s voters showed up to vote
(from either party).

Did anyone get any photos? Video footage? How would they have voted with Alabama's voter ID law in place?
