Trump PROMISED the pastors and their congregations that the Johnson amendment would be done away with, the Christians came out in droves for Trump YET this was NOT in the bill VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!!
You don’t read. I pay a helluva lot in income taxes and to raise my kids. I don’t need help but think a few hundred more back to me THAT I PAY would be better than the government getting it.
Besides your argument is a lie anyway as you won’t pay a dime more if anyone see a bump in the CTC. If they don’t get it passed and they don’t repeal Obamacare mandates they can forget about being reelected .
I pay alot in income taxes and have kids, hence I will get some of MY MONEY back. I am not rich but middle class and welcome it back. Your taxes won’t go up because of it so stop whining.
Again, if you pay income taxes, then this has nothing to do with you. They are not talking about increasing the child tax credit. They are talking about increasing the “refund” that will be received by people who pay no income tax.
This is the same thing Rubio (and Mike Lee) have said since this bill was even first discussed all of those months ago. If ignorance is bliss, some people are in paradise. Support or not support what Rubio is doing here, it is hardly news to anyone even remotely paying attention to this process from the beginning that he said this would be the condition of him voting for final passage of this bill...yet look at the comments acting like they are surprised and aghast.
My understanding is that it was the PARLIAMENTARIAN that did not allow the Johnson thing. I assume it can be done at a later date with a different bill...anyhow if that’s true the GOP did not pull it.
