I think the democrat response is worse. They do not really care and exhibit no remorse. This guy had remorse. Al Frankin, for example, has exhibited no remorse

I believe you are right- it’s a mistake to take them lightly in my opinion- it will depend on the mood of the country- hopefully the country will still be trump loyalists but it’s the independents that we need to hold- and they usually get their news from msm- we’ll see how they feel soon enough in midterms-

With all due respect, Morgana—and I love your posts— I don’t really think it matters what party he belonged to.

He was clearly in pain or afraid, but he hurt his family.

I have had suicidal thoughts all my life; cut myself when I was a teenager. Kurt Cobain is my idol, because he actually went through with it.

But I could never do it because I knew how much pain it would cause my family.

Life is life and you just have to deal with the cards with which you are dealt. :)

All the best to you and yours, FRiend.

Love your screen name btw...once read a book that had a character with your name. Cannot think of it now...

We could videotape every encounter with any other human being, animal or potted plant.

What I actually foresee is the removal of men from all positions of power, responsibility or authority in our society.
As predicted by Isaiah the Prophet, women will rule over us. Naturally, they will rue that day because when men have become disenfranchised, there will be nothing they'll be willing to fight for and as another biblical prophecy warns, the trumpet will sound and no one will show up for the battle. Then women will wish they had never tampered with masculinity.

If the evidence cited in the expose’ of him was accurate (court records, facebook posts, etc) then he’s been messed-up for a long time. Sounds like in trying to reach out to the unchurched he used crazy parties to try to attract the “unsaved”. And things were out of control, such as posting photos to FB of drinking and bare breasts at his “church parties”, etc

Suicide isn’t the answer, and his family has to be devastated. The “reporting” reads like a hit piece but cites records that should be possible to check on. It sounds like he might be a compulsive liar/exaggerator, and very much seeks attention. I just wish he could have gotten help. A person might want to help those in quicksand by jumping right in with them, but you can’t lift somebody out of the pit unless you, yourself, are grounded enough to not just be pulled in. The whole model of “ministry” seems whacked out.

And he’s not the only person who’s gone this way either. A pastor in my denomination was arrested for indecent exposure as he was masturbating in public. He said he was trying to minister to homosexuals. What messed-up times we live in.

I’m sad for this man, sad for his family, sad for the girl who seems to have legitimately gone through what she says, based on the FB posts at the time and the stuff he posted.

The bad part about the witch-hunts like with Roy Moore is that there will be backlash and a tendency to disbelieve all the stories - even the ones that have evidence to back it up, like this one. The liars are hurting the real victims. And the politicization of it all hurts everybody.

Today I’m just really, really sad at the shape my country is in. God, deliver us from our own depravity, stupidity, selfishness, and lovelessness!

I am sorry, but you do not commit suicide for tapping a girl on the shoulder. If you are falsely accused you fight it like Moore and Trump. You only commit suicide if there is evidence and know you are going to prison. It is an admission that something was really wrong.

This whole pizzagate is going to take out a lot of people dem and republican. The last time this happened in the 80's, there were retirements, accidents, heart attacks and suicides while one politician went to prison. The guys that are "retiring" or going home because of sexual harassment are the lucky ones. There is something very bad on them and they are being told they are done, be very happy you are not going to prison, do not get back into politics or tv.

Yes an incident from many years ago. One that was not pursued by law enforcement. There was no indictment and no proof of any kind apparently.

It was recently brought back up in this #MeToo frenzy. This pushed a troubled man with five children and nine grandchildren to take his own life instead of watch as everything he worked for was taken from him.

I have not read the expose. I only saw the general news articles which just said he had been accused but didn’t go into any depth. I will have to look at the expose perhaps. I agree with you, though, that suicide isn’t the answer. If he was as messed up as you say, then he needed to face the consequences and get help, but suicide isn’t a solution.

Apparently they were investigated and found to be untrue or at least not actionable.

Then the #MeToo insanity has begun and anyone who has ever accidentally brushed up against a stranger in a crowded elevator is now a sexual abuser and subject to removal and ruin.

No need for jury trials any more. Just put the sexual charge out there and the target is considered guilty whether he is or isn’t.

He seems to have had underlying problems with mental health.

That being said: At what point are you expected to fight, loose all you worked for for decades, life savings, reputation, family, home, friends over nonsense unprovable claims from people.

This is a tragedy.

Isaiah 3:12 "As for My people, children are their oppressors and women rule over them. O My people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths."

It is a blind soul who can read this and not see the hand of third-wave feminism.

I don't care; the Duke Lacrosse boys almost went to jail for doing absolutely nothing.
If you find yourself without a support network, there's no telling how you'll react. You can't judge someone without knowing what their mental state is and what they're susceptible to. From my own early-childhood experience, I have tended to freak out when someone falsely accused me of something without listening to reason; felt like being in a state of siege. We need to allow for a man being in a different state of mental strength/fragility than ourselves.

I won't judge this poor man because I can't read his mind; I'm only psycho, not psychic.

For democrats it’s considered cool and edgy for two men to sodomize each other. But if it’s between a man and a woman, they go full Peter Pan(D). Democrats are people who refuse to grow up.
