President Donald Trump managed to endorse two different losing candidates in the same Senate race, a setback that is highlighting an experience deficit within the White House political team. […]

Republicans in Washington and around the country say a bungled approach to the race — in which the president wagered his party’s moral authority with nothing to show for it — should serve as a wakeup call for the administration going into what is sure to be a challenging midterm election year.

“This White House is not working on all cylinders,” said Ari Fleischer, who served as press secretary to former President George W. Bush. …

Wrong title. It SHOULD be a wake up call for the stupidity of Mitch McConnell, who tossed aside a great candidate Mo Brooks, in favor of Luther Strange. Brooks would have won the general election in a landslide, but no. Mitch needed his yes man.

McConnell got the result he was looking for.

The AP doesn’t like Strange either. Wrong party label.

This is a memo to Dingy Ditch to give up on total support for his clone candidates.

Dingy Ditch is the kiss of death.

It is odd that the middle class working taxpayer is now without political representation. Every special Interest group is represented in DC except the forgotten man.

GOPe sabotages the Trump endorsed candidate then says “see, we told you so”.

God, I despise these bastards.

Seventeenth Amendment did guarantee that to happen.

Bullcrap. The President only stepped in when nobody else would fight to save the seat. He knew the odds were long, but he tried to help the party that hates him so much that it intends to lose both houses next year then stand aside while the rats impeach him.

Establishment republicans are much worse than rats - at least the rats are open in their hatred.

Oh, the RINOs were very open in their hatred this time around. They are quite candid now in taking the advice of Lenin, when he said “We must hate; hatred is the basis of communism”.

It should be a wake up call for the GOPe. We are ready to fight them in 2018. Bring it on, Jerks! Mitch, Ryan, be ready to leave the leadership.

Bunch of fricking idiots. They team up with Democrats to defeat Moore and then blame Trump. Typical.

So are you saying that only Rino’s are electable? McConnel will be happy to hear that!

That’s always their goal. Now that they are more of the Uniparty than ever, they figure they’ll bounce between Republican and Democrat to keep the electorate on the back foot all the time.

“...it’s time to say, “no more fringe nutjobs!”

but... the media and most of the Republican leadership says Trump is fringe nutjob?

My interpretation is that the people of Alabama did not understand the political smear and what was at stake in this election. But the real fault lies with the GOP, who should be responsible for grass-roots organization.

I do understand that some of you don’t like protestant Christians and will give the benefit of the doubt to any accuser. All I can say is thanks for ushering in the downfall of our free republic.
