ANALYSIS: Credit to Doug Jones, Who Worked for the Win in Alabama
Breitbart ^ | 12-12-17 | Joel B. Pollack

There will be many explanations for Democrat Doug Jones’s victory over Republican Roy Moore in Alabama’s special election Tuesday.......

.....But there is another factor: Doug Jones simply worked very hard.

According to his own campaign, Jones held well over 200 campaign events over two months — an average of more than three per day.......

Yet there will be questions about the way Moore decided to spend his time doing things other than campaigning — for example, leaving the state to catch the Army-Navy game...........

“There is no way Republicans can without party unity. Conservatives plus establishment equal a win. Definitely missing for this election.”

Not just for this election. That unity is ALWAYS missing when it is a conservative candidate, instead of an establishment candidate. They expect us to vote for their guy when it’s their turn, but they never support our guy when it’s our turn.

Bannan may be a master politician but not in Alabama. His style is not for the South. He turns people off down here. He gained no votes and more than likely cost Moore some votes.

Not his style? Bannon is exactly what the South appreciates.

Using that logic, Trump didn’t win. Hillary lost.

To your point #1 - I find those numbers odd. This election wasn’t just about Moore, everyone understood the larger implications. I also have a steadfast belief that the Dems have a well greased system for getting away with fraud. Dead people, or those no longer living in the state, have a peculiar tendency to vote Dem. I’d love to have an audit of mail-in ballots, just for once - that it’s ALWAYS Dems that stand in the way is very telling.

Considering how “close” this was, any fraud at all could determine the future of this country.

Probably a good assumption in this case like this in a red state that almost all of those write-in votes would normally go for the pub. The idea of write-in votes to avoid voting for Moore was vocalized by many including the other Senator in the state.

Moore got less than half of Trump’s total.

The only way that happens against a complete left wing idealist in Alabama is if the voters staying home believed the sexual attacks

How did that system get all those GOP voters to STAY home ?

>> Bannan may be a master politician but not in Alabama <<

Didn’t do so well in Wisconsin either, when he made a big push for Nehlen against Paul Ryan.

Gotta wonder who's bright idea this was

with all the msm, dems and even some repubs calling you a pedo, having a 12 year old girl, 2 years younger than the youngest you're accused of groping, while on a date, probably isn't the best plan. Really bad optics.

Some people just don't approve of 30ish yo guys with teenaged year old girls. Like anyone with a teenaged daughter that seen them get ogled by 30ish yo guys in public. There's a reason 'cradle robber' is a saying.

This is a glaringly ignorant rant.

Honest to G folks, if this is how wishy washy we are after a loss, it’s a wonder we ever win.

This election did not turn on the hard work of Doug Jones. It turned on the hard work of everyone for Doug Jones. And if that sounds like praise for his ground team, lets talk reality for a moment here.

Doug Jones had the full backing of Democrat leadership, the Republican Leadership, the MSM, the complete chattering class on television, all the usual suspect Leftist groups, and a Kenyan who dumped $4 million into his campaign just days before the election.

By some reports Jones was backed by excessive funding on the order of 14 to 1 against Moore. In addition to that the Democrats launched a get out the vote effort that saw 92% of the November 8, 2016 Democrat vote appear at polling precincts to vote for Jones. In comparison, the Republican party refused to support Moore in this sort of effort, resulting in just over 50% of the November 8th, 2016 Republican vote for him. Think about that 92% vs 50%, and all for the lack of party support Moore (and Conservatism) deserved to have. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, they also encouraged Republicans to write in someone else, and over 20,000 of them did.

Add in the fact that the Democrats also ran a smear campaign with women who had passed up all of Moore’s career for forty years, to now air charges of abuse addressing things that happened up to 40 years prior. None of them filed charges then or now.

Accusers included women Roy had simply dated. They were 18. He was in his early 30s. No abuse was even suggested. He just dated them. “Don’t elect him. He’s a healthy male.” And some people bought it. Nine accusers came forward. None of the accusers had a story to tell that made charges so credible without very problematic story details beings shot down, that it made sense to hold Moore accountable.

Roy had his own story to tell. He had people like us. He had Bannon. Late in the game he had Trump.

Folks, with Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, the DNC, the GOPe, the RNC, and every other person who should be in your corner applying towels to your opponent Doug Jones in his corner, you would be hard pressed to even come close to Doug Jones ballot numbers. Judge Roy Moore did. He came very close.

Judge Roy Moore did not lose that election. While he had his back turned, everyone who should have supported him picked up the Mantle of U. S. Senator and handed it to Doug Jones. Moore went to the polls in a valiant effort to win it for Conservatism, his et tu brute moments too numerous to count during the campaign.

Yes, Doug Jones, you’re efforts really paid off. You could have sat on your sofa at home and probably done just as well. With the full weight of the Democrat wrecking crew, the Republican traitors in D.C. and Alabama, and everyone else standing small with you, Moore was a very long shot.

Shot in the back that is...

Now sing it Mitch. Sing it Ryan. Sing it GOPe. Tell us how you predicted this.

We’ll tell you to go straight to hell, for working your asses off to defeat Conservatism.

And that’s exactly what you did.

Jones worked hard? Give me a freaking break you assholes.

“If that helps them to sleep at night, I suppose, but their staying home did get Jones elected.”

True. But they won’t look at it that way.

Yeah.

That is how he won the primary.

He was unpopular.

Moronic.

Not much of a personality, too ideological to attract much of any outside of his core conservative base, and he creeped people out.

Well thought out response. No one is entitled to an office and when they approach it as if they are, they usually have a bad result. (Notable examples - Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton)

I would appreciate it if you would take a look at post 73, just above.

Folks, what is this Moore bashing all about today?

The man did an incredible job considering.

So sorry to disagree with you, Joel but I simply must.

Now before anyone of my fellow FReepers jump out to spank me for my statement so, I humbly explain: Jones didn’t “work for the win,” Planned Parenthood worked, Organize for America worked, Geo. Soros and his gaggle of anti-Americans worked, NARAL worked, Big Labor worked, Black Lives Matter (at least certain black lives) worked, the entire mainstream media, including Fox News Network (proving yet again the “fair and balanced” curtain has been left behind) worked, the RNC and Senate election apparatus worked, most all of the sitting GOP House and Senate worked and worked hard.

The entire uniparty Establishment worked and they WON BIG!

Now for who did not work for the win - the so-called “conservative voters of Alabama” did not work, they bought 40 year old Gloria Allred lies!

Worst of all We the People, The Country Class lost!

What did we lose: maybe two even three Supreme Court justices who would sit for the next forty years and the possibilities of reversing the leftward rush to become a Sodom Gomorrah cesspool and an Islamic Germany!

They and we lost the Trump agenda move to shut our southern border where the barbarians are not only at the gate, they’re among us now!
