If they did not vote for him solely because he is a Mormon, absolutely. Just like I would be a bigot if a Moslem were to want to be Mayor of My town. Would you vote for an openly Moslem President?
The only issue with paper ballots is that they can be rescanned multiple times by optical ballot machine counters like they did in Detroit 2016(like the box found marked 306 ballots for Hillary but there were only 50 ballots in the box.(There were about 50 or 60 voters that came into that precinct). So unless recounts are done and matched to the paper ballots vs the optical records vs the numbers who actually came into the precint to vote, Virginian will never know for sure whether Fairfax or Richmond vote officials are stuffing the numbers.
That’s why that court case about preserving digital votes vs the paper records in Alabama was important. Somebody didn’t want those records to be able to be checked but they can examine the numbers of folks who come into the precincts against votes cast.

He would have won if Fox news simply hadn’t released that faulty hopeless 10 point gap poll yesterday.

I’m not buying that 92% of the Dems that voted in a presidential election voted in an off year special election. It hasn’t happened in my lifetime. I smell something, but it won’t matter cause the Republican establishment is happy a Dem won.

LOL. It “made a difference” because his own party was heavily campaigning against Moore. When was the last time 83 year old Senator Shelby made a media blitz for ANY issue? Apparently, gift wrapping a Senate seat to the Demofascists is the only issue that can get Shelby out of comfy bed.

Of course, given the small % vote difference, and the demographics of the state, I think all it took for Jones was to concentrate on the major population counties like Montgomery and Jefferson and that was enough to eke out the small margin of victory; also “get out the vote” is usually easier to work out in the major cities. Yes I know, even then, if not for that, it would have meant a strange victory for Moore, with so many 2016 Trump voters not voting.

Jones didn’t turn a fair number of Republican by lending creditable where none was due.
Jones didn’t win on policy, his polices will be desastourly unpopular in Alabama. Thoses who voted for him will live to regret it as will the whole country.
Roy Moore might have made a more presasive argument but the truth is he was probably guilty of dating or trying to date a few teenage girls, just not raping them and obviously not some of these girls who seem to have a basic problem with their story requiring forgery and contradiction with records and coworkers.
That said it was not unusual 40 years ago much less illegal for a girl over the age of 16 to date a man of any age. Women had that right even then just as they still have that right today.
Moore was thus fighting a cultures that has changed radically and rapiitly and has determined to judge actions of the past by the twisted and unfairly contradictory standards of today.
Hence the distruction of our history. There was no way he could explain that.
As much as losing a Republican Senate seat with harm us it is nothing compared to the harm we will endure by being subjected to the unfair standard of presumption of guilt until proven innocent.
The media and our accusers control the timing of their baseless claims and even it seem the circumstances rendering themselves unharmed by the attack. This is why Democrats can be safely replaced while still sending this virtue singlig message and Republican must give their power to Democrats. This is a power game and it has the potential to cost us every single seat we have. If we can lose Alabama to mere charges without evidence nobody is safe.
Only Tolken Republican opposition will be spaired as to avoid looking reducule I suppose the rinos suppose that will be them as they are the the most Tolken of all opposition. Hence why mitt is running in Utah. The strongest remaining Republican state as a RINO. It’s likely to be the only state able to keep a republican delegation.
