Several establishment Republicans cheered as the Alabama Senate Republican candidate Judge Roy Moore lost to his Democratic opponent Doug Jones.
Here are some of the establishment Republicans who praised Roy Moores loss in the Alabama Senate race on Tuesday:
National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) Chairman Cory Gardner (R-CO) said in a statement, Tonights results are clear the people of Alabama deemed Roy Moore unfit to serve in the U.S. Senate. I hope Senator-elect Doug Jones will do the right thing and truly represent Alabama by choosing to vote with the Senate Republican Majority.

no. moore lost because hundreds of thousands of Alabamans who voted a year ago chose to think there vote isn’t a God given blessing, a right we have in this great country that God expects us to use wisely.
Some Alabamans showed they think they are wise but are truly selfish people with little regard for fellow Alabamans or countrymen while in the midst of crisis in state and country.
50% of Alabama prefers a child molesterer over a Democrat?

Is this guy for real??? (a) that isn’t how dems operate and (b) this guy is beholden to a ton of dem money - no way he turns his back on that.
They think Doug Jones is going to vote with the Republican Majority in Alabama?
Dream on.

F’n delusional. But not surprising coming from CO. The home of the Non-Primary Primary controlled by GOPe elites.
I would have voted for Roy Moore if I lived in Alabama, but he lost because he was an awful candidate. Who the hell travels to Philadelphia for a stupid football game three days before the biggest election of his political career in Alabama?
I’m not voting ever again for a McConnell backed candidate.
I don’t care if the Democrat is completely detestable. I’m doing like McConnell and staying home unless I personally like the candidate.
I think it also may not have helped him, optics wise, that one of the very few interviews he sat down to leading up to the election was with a 12-year-old girl. Whose bright idea was that?
‘But not surprising coming from CO. The home of the Non-Primary Primary controlled by GOPe elites.’
Doesn’t fully explain it. Gardner was supported by us primarily to get rid of that political pest Mark Udall.
Gardner also sold himself as a conservative.
While he sucked us in with his false conservatism, we got rid of Udall.
Pragmatism sometimes sucks.
Senator Shelby (R - Alabama) hurt him, with his nonsupport and call for write-ins. Another RINO. Could have just stayed quiet.
Sen. Shelby definitely needs to be defeated if he runs for re-election in AL. He was hateful, knowing that this could stop Pres. Trump’s agenda. He is as bad as McConnell.
Pure idiocy.
Fox News? That was a channel we used to watch. When they get rid of Dana Perino, Shep Smith, Bret Baier, and Juan Williams, we may tune in again. Practically all of their anchors supported Hillary, and it shows.
“Is Fox News celebrating too?”
Bret Baier and his co-host (McCauley or some such name?) made no attempt to hide their smiles. Bret Baier was almost giddy.
Hannity threw Moore under the bus early on too. Thanks Sean
Yeah right Jones is going to vote with the Republicans, what a laugh.
Roy Moore would have won had the 22,000 RIMO turncoats not written in a spoiler candidate's name. You can be sure every single Democrat voted Democrat, along with a lot of people who probably shouldn't have voted at all.
So the RINOs managed to sink Roy Moore, and their own party in Alabama. That tells us all just how much the establishment GOP wants to lose to their Uniparty friends in DC so they can sit on the back benches, go to the parties, and collect the checks.
I don’t know about that, but what I do know is that according to the polling 80% of the people who voted for Jones said they support abortion under any conditions, and that should be the law of the land. Now, that is scary.
