It’s way past time to ditch mitch.
While Mitch is a destestable weasle and needs to be replaced by someone with a spine...... the ONLY person to blame for this is Crazy Roy himself... Trump knew what he was doing when he didnt back him... now its pretty obvious why he didnt...When in doubt, Trust Trump.
The Turtleman was doing his happy dance last night.
Ivanka Trump and Jeff Sessions piled on Moore with their public support of the Moore accusers, so they have a part in the debacle. Sean Hannity’s often protest that a molester of a fourteen year old should not be in the Senate also undercut Moore.
Maybe this will inspire Trump to fire the ones in his administration who try to undercut his agenda.
Let’s see have fast the democrats flip a rebublican to the dems. and take control of the Senate.
It doesn’t matter Moore lost. The pubbies could have 70 senators and the fools would still let upchuck Schumer and the MSMwhores run the show. now we will be spared the sorry spectacle of sorry-ass republicans lining up - along with the demholes & msmwhores - to call for moore’s head. trump would have been branded a pedophile-by-association simply by speaking to moore on the phone, now moore is no longer an issue.
1. Roy Moore ... face it, the guy was an awful candidate.
2. the Republican voters of Alabama ... their vote (or lack of such) was clear on this one.
3. Gov. Kay Ivey ... why call a special election if the guy in office was originally appointed to serve out the remainder of his predecessor's term, unless the only point in calling for the special election was to get him out of office?
4. Steve Bannon ... is Moore really the kind of loser we can expect him to back in all these GOP primaries next year?
Item #3 is a big one. If the President of the United States was going to end up endorsing Luther Strange for the GOP primary anyway, then what the hell was the point of having the special election in the first place? HE WAS ALREADY IN THAT SEAT FOR THE REMAINDER OF SESSIONS' TERM.
More proof that Republicans don't deserve our my support.
However, Roy Moore was the wrong answer, IMHO. There may not have been any truly "right guy" in the AL primaries, but there was at leas one "less wrong" guy. Here in Iowa, the brethren had to have their "Roy Moores" year after year... while the shiny pants and golfing brigade of the GOP wanted their bought-and-paid-for human turnips. By a combination of miracles, things improved (at least for a while) thanks to neither of them. Looks like AL has the same type of problem.
Mitch McConnell is the Tip O’Neil of the Republican Party. Mitch O’Neil.
Roy Moore was tainted goods and the Democrats took advantage. They threw under the bus (Maybe) Al Franken and Harvey Weinstein and any number of famous leftist perverts to get evangelicals to write in enough votes to just beat Moore.
The Democrats also, smartly, waited till after the primaries were over to make their accusations. Time to wake up.
Does anyone actually think that the Rats wouldn’t have gone after Strange with a vicious smear campaign just like they did with Moore?
The GOP through McConnell and Ryan have shat on
the American People, and yet... the GOP
loves them and supports them still.
Is there a better reason for ending the GOP forever?
...and mitch is happy about it!
McDorkell is the reason we don’t have a Republican party.
He is so typical of your unaccomplished, unintelligent terrain following spineless RINO.
Article is spot on. Sets the stage for AG Sessions to come out of his coma in 2020 and run for his old seat. Hopefully get an AG with a pulse.
Don’t stab our candidate in the back, and then whine that he’s a “weak candidate”.
Don’t concoct a completely dishonest smear campaign against our candidate, and then bitch about him having “baggage”.
Don’t cut our candidate off from party support, and then moan about him not being able to run a campaign.
Mitch McConnell got exactly what he wanted and paid for: a communist Swampocrat was elected to the Senate, rather than a constitutionalist statesman. Donald Trump was complicit with him from the beginning.
This article is closer to being correct than any other I’ve seen.
Im sick and tired of outsider pontificating on Roy Moores loss. If you arent from Alabama you do not understand why this happened. Moores loss was not due to Steve Bannon or Mitch McConnel, although Mitch McConnel was directly responsible for Moore winning the nomination.
Mitch McConnel threw millions of dollars into trashing Mo Brooks in the primary while virtually ignoring Roy Moore. No one liked the way Luther Strange was appointed and everyone knew he was a swamp critter, but he might very well have won if Mitch had stayed out of it. The avalanche of anti Brooks ads did manage to kill any chance Brooks might have had, but had the unintended consequence of suppressing turnout by potential Strange voters because they were disgusted by the obvious GOPe play. This allowed Moores hard core base to rise to the top. Mitch did it again against Moore in the runoff virtually assuring Moore the nomination.
Moores only claim to fame was his 10 Commandments stand. He started out by putting them on the wall in his Etowah County courtroom generating outrage by the liberal media, then parleyed that into winning election to the Alabama Supreme Court. He continued his grandstanding by placing a 10 Commandments monument at the Alabama Supreme Court and defying court orders to remove it, leading to his removal from the bench. He failed when he tried to run for governor then managed to win election again to the Alabama Supreme Court where he was again removed for defying court decisions on gay marriage. His grandstanding has won him a core of support among single issue voters, but Alabama isnt quite as redneck as the national media would lead you to believe. We are conservative but we (excepting Roy Moores base) are pragmatic.
Yesterday I went to the polls, held my nose and voted for Roy Moore because, as President Trump said, we need the seat. I came very close to staying home, not because of the accusations against Roy Moore, but because I have always considered Roy Moore to be the political equivalent of a TV preacher. Moore lost because many Republicans simply couldnt stand the stench and stayed home. Pretty much everyone thought Moore would win, so voters felt comfortable standing by their principles and staying home...oops! The November Surprise probably cost him the election, but it shouldnt have been close, and with ANY other Republican it would have been a landslide.
Doug Jones will be in office until the 2020 election and will lose in a landslide. Take it to the bank.
Can we please pull up some accusers for McConnell now? Let that old turtle see how he likes it.
My bloodhounds did their job and yes I am satisfied.
