Trump: Congratulations to Doug Jones on a hard fought victory.

Donald J. Trump‏ Verified account @realDonaldTrump Congratulations to Doug Jones on a hard fought victory. The write-in votes played a very big factor, but a win is a win. The people of Alabama are great, and the Republicans will have another shot at this seat in a very short period of time. It never ends!

I think many forget a lot of us who voted for Trump were also Ron Paul voters who might slightly prefer Moore over Jones bit not enough to go vote or support him

He was better choice out of two bad choices but not enough to support

Everyone bitches about millieniela but they seem to forget that most of us xers in our 40’S are pretty much libertarian

Scoff but we are the demographic that put DJT in the white house...roy moore nor Jones nor L Strange worth voting for
So shit happens. Sometime bad shit.

What I have troubleubderstanding here is why everyone is so hung up on who is going to lead them and still call themselves constitutionalists or free men

Thank you ..I hope this message spreads and gets to Bannon .. Moore put us all in an impossible position on several levels ..me and half a dozen other FReepers could have easily done a better job at fighting this battle than Moore and his incompetent campaign people ... this was totally a totally preventable loss ...

You’re right. 3 years.

This is a real setback for conservatives.

Well just comfort yourself with your precious “purity” when the Senate Shitcans Trump’s SCOTUS choices.....But hey, you were “pure”, that’s all that matters.

Even if you’re up by 20, you should always GOTV. If only to stay in practice doing it and to further discourage the opposition the next time.

This 49-year old X-er agrees completely.

I was not enthusiastic about Roy Moore. I am tremendously supportive of President Trump.

Exactly. You weren’t voting for Moore, the vote was for Trump.

But all these “purists” who stayed home were too stupid to realize that.

I completely disagree with you.

As we all see, there is much more abject sex abuse going on today. It is cruel to subject teens and helpless employees to the worst of assaults. Good men are not at risk. No one should be subjected to the boss masturbating or an adult overpowering a naive teen. Women and girls deserve better treatment. For every starlet subjected to a Weinstein are the single moms working at the coffee shop subjected to the perv boss with no one to believe them. Good men should care about these women. They are your daughters and mothers and wives.

And no one should falsely accuse anyone, but powerful people WILL be accused and they need to be above the fray. No Moore style equivocating. Keep your life clean so no one can come after you. Own your few improprieties and show how you’ve changed. If you are innocent, fight back hard.

Perhaps Bannon is a FReeper? ;-)

I know Andrew Breitbart was a FReeper, at least early in his political career. He told me that in 2012 at a CPAC gathering, just about a month before he died...

I've so far seen 9 different memes coming from the nuttroots crowd about how awful it is to have such a conservative senator holding a (D) tag. It's awesome how fast they've turned a victory into a roast.

Keep on going Democrats. Imagine how angry you'll be about him having a keynote spot at the DNC in 2020.

He shouldn’t be congratulating Doug Jones, it was Mitch Mcconnell and the Senate RINO’s victory.
Doug Jones didn’t stand a chance in Alabama without their campain support.

Just as no other senate or house republican now stands a chance with RINO’s in the party.

I hope he is ... I give Bannon credit for riding the horse all the way , but this was an easily preventable loss ...hopefully he will do his own oppo research on every candidate that he pushes ... there is too much at stake just for the sake of teaching McConnell a lesson

Yes, Moore should have been glad-handing his ass off this weekend. Even if he was up by twenty. Run up the score. It cancels the cheating. Moore should have known that the big game that mattered was in Alabama.

The problem with a lot of voters is that they hang everything on the executive and forget the legislators when it comes election time. As if the President or Governor were an Emperor or a King. Every election for every office counts. If you let a chance to vote get by you, you lose your personal influence in the system by that much.
