RINOs and Dems must have spent at least 100 million. They bought the election.

On the flip side - our side didn't do 1/10 as much to help him as the Left did to push Jones over the top....they are relentless and our side 'stands on its principles" instead of getting into the fray in a meaningful way.

Uh, “our side” spent millions to defeat Roy Moore. It was mom and pop $5 donations against the weight of two massive political machines and hundreds of millions in free advertising through 100% negative media reports. And Moore almost won.

I saw stats that said during a period of time Moore was outspent 14:1 - doesn’t matter now - the seat is gone for a while now anyway.

Well enjoy the next six years with Doug Jones as your senator.

Two years. This is to fill out the remainder of Sessions' term. It's up for election again in 2020.

Why do you think that Moore was unable to get his base to the polls? I’m not a big MSNBC fan but I like watching them on election nights because that have that statistics nerd who breaks down votes better than anyone else I’ve seen. And in county after county, he was pointing out that Moore was racking up huge margins in areas where the turnout was much lower than in 2016. Moore is not the senator because of that as well as the write-ins. So why didn’t he get out the vote?

SO it seems the message is stay registered for the primary voice, but no financial involvement? Makes sense...

That is a good point; this country (and both parties) have made it crystal-clear Christianity has no role here whatsoever.

On a purely secular level then, does it make sense to keep a primary voice with party registration?

You pathetic moron troll.

Moore is NOT a pedophile, you drooling mouth breather. You’ve been watching too much MSNBC.

I say that YOU are a pedo. No? Then, prove me wrong!

They’re probably much happier than I am, ignorance being bliss and all. I remember when politics was a boring subject so I can’t fault them too much for not encouraging the conversation. But our country/culture and offspring’s future is at stake so the apathy is kind of frustrating ya know?

If Texas goes purple or blue, game over. There are plenty of fools in the Lone Star State.

What happened in Alabama could be replicated anywhere, if the resources are available. Roy Moore has been a public figure for several years in Alabama and had run for statewide office previously. Due to his firm stand against homosexual “marriage”, he was persecuted by the Alabama political establishment. The same establishment, represented by Jeff Sessions and Richard Shelby, and on the national level by McConnell, Ryan, Romney, and McCain, did their best to sabotage Moore’s campaign. Then came the accusations of sexual assault , which came out when the Democrats and the MSM smelled blood. They had resources and the 24-7 media platform that Luther Strange and previous opponents lacked.

Too many Alabamans fell for the lies of the Uniparty and the MSM. Add to that a little voter fraud in Birmingham and the Black Belt counties, plus the write in votes, and Jones won.

The RINOs play dirty, as happened with Murkowski in Alaska, Cochran in Mississippi, and elsewhere. They are truly the enemy within.

Our life in the people’s republic of NY. I feel your pain.

It’s very frustrating and discouraging.

The only thing that I keep going back to is that God is in control and there is a purpose for all of this, and ultimately, in the end, HE wins.

And the libs can’t do a thing about it that time.

See any irony in saying you forgot about his trip yet it cost him the election?

More wheat being separated from the chaff.

glad he lost. Don’t have to hear about judge no Moore. We got to run better people. Truly? You may want to rethink that. What happen here is the democrats found out their sex-smear campaign will work and they will use it again. They didn't even have to get a police report filed for people to believe it - just the news media. The guy supported the Ten Commandments and was pro-life. His positions seemed pretty solid. That is why Democrats focused on getting him out.

Shawn Hannity also did a number on Moore, who allowed himself to be bushwacked in a telephone interrogation on national television.

"Here's another way to look at it: Hannity gave Moore a golden opportunity to dig himself out of the Washington Post's hole, and Moore completely blew it."

Hannnity acted as a prosecutor during the interview. How many Democrats when faced with a sexual scandal, encountered a prosecutorial styled interview?

Do you remember Steve Kroft's interview of the Clinton's, which was later called the "Stand by Your Man" interview because of Hillary's defense of Bill Clinton? They were all soft ball questions with no follow up. I wanted to smash my television! I wanted to smash my television because it was evident this was a damage control interview designed to put to rest the allegations of Bill Clinton's mistreatment of women.

Why did Hannity participate in the dismantling of Roy Moore? Did someone from the deep state give him a call? Why did Roy Moore agree to such a inquisition? I have to admit, the answers Moore gave were indeed creepy.

Never a prosecutorial styled interview of a Democrat! Double standard, brought to us this time by Shawn Hannity.

I am not sure about that. For all we know, the government will probably approve of tons of refugees to permanently flip the state.

If the RINO’s can and will believe every ‘conveniently timed’(no matter how old) unsubstantiated claims against republicans and tell their supporters to abandon them, no elected republican is safe in any election. In Alabama we had the strongest majority anywhere, if they can engineer a loss there nowhere is safe.

Just as importantly why should any honorable man support any political leader who believes in guilty until proven innocent for all men?

I know I won’t, which is why my support for Ted Cruz is over.

Bannon’s intention is to wreck the Republican Party. He’s declared war on GOPe. I suppose then we should ask why a RINO like him is picking the candidates that cannot win? Whose side is he on? His own. He wants to be king maker. It’s all about his ego, not conservatism.
