I disagree that is not the sequence of events

Moore was already rejected prior to these allegations by

The media

The GOPe

And the Dems of course

And he was already running against them

So a collusion of GOPe operatives funded by Mitch McConnell PAC etc worked from day one to stop firebrand Moore who they knew knew they couldn’t control

LaterWashPo working with both democrat and GOPe operatives line up these paid women to smear Moore

Only one of whom mattered to me and we later find out all sorts of discrepancies and omissions like her divorce trial and all these later issues she has though the media won’t mention that

Alll arranged by a dem law firm conveniently final hour and never substantiated it yet carried by the media including bitch hunt Fox repeatedly as credible ad nauseam

And it worked

Blacks came out heavy

Soccer moms in Vestavia and post grad voters in Huntsville and Florence flipped

And a lot of folks stayed home who voted in 2016

And younger white voters even in Alabama tend to be more liberal

Yes Luther a GOPe approved 1970s style Sam Nunn democrat would have probably won which is the essence of all this

It’s comparable to Mississippi except there the state GOP was more involved in total via the Barbour apparatI although former democrat Shelbys late hour defection hurt

I didn’t much care about the late teen accusations and found the 14 year old non credible

It’s like when Gillebrand first ran and her GOP opponent was smeared out by later found out totally unsubstantiated rumor which was a media dem plot

She’s senator now

This stuff works and if it works in Alabama it’ll work anywhere

That’s the scary part

Your solution is don’t risk the GOPe ire

We see over and over again the only thing they fight is rebellion in their own ranks

Never the opposition outside the party and they live for media approval

They orchestrated this yet will claim it as objective proof conservative Christians can’t win

Bad day

And all this women crap now will be turned on Trump

Don’t flirt and make men even more subservient

This is war and I’m in it to win not buckle for innuendo

Nobody Is safe from that....being a conservative man todaywill become like being an aristocrat in France 1790s sans the chopper

They are sacrificing their own now to gear up for the big prize....Moore is their first real quarry on our team

I don’t know if Moore is guilty - I know he says he is innocent and served in office for four decades without being accused. However, I know they were serious allegations and allegations that are tough to overcome. I also know that his attorney put out some evidence in his defense - the media didn’t report on it of course. My point, though, is that Moore ran a TERRIBLE campaign. He said he was innocent, so he should have been out there everyday trumpeting his innocence and sharing the evidence his attorneys put forward in his defense. Instead, he would disappear for wide swaths of time, did few rallies, went out of town the weekend before the election, had spokespeople that did a poor job, and wasn’t out there every single day. He said he was a fighter, but he wasn’t fighting.

I see what you are saying about going along with the establishment just to win. That didn’t work with McCain and Romney, though. It’s not secret that Mitch McConnell and the Republicans wanted him to lose - even without the allegations. Moore would have been a threat to the establishment as he wanted McConnell out as Leader. He would have been there fighting against him. His win would have showed the weakening of he establishment and opened the door for more anti-establishment, Bannon candidates. McConnell is happier than Doug Jones right now.

What the Republicans could have done if they didn’t want him to lose is said, “Look, these are serious allegations. However, Roy Moore has been in the public eye for decades, run five races, been under investigation twice, been married over 30 years, raised four children, and has grandchildren. He has never been accused until before this election. Because it is innocent until proven guilty, we will endorse him, and then we will give him his due process if elected. We will investigate and toss him out if he is found guilty. Then he will be replaced with someone else.”

That takes into account the allegations and innocent until proven guilty. It also ensures that if he is found guilty, another Republican would get the seat. There would then be a special election.

If Roy Moore is innocent, then yes, this opens the door for this to happen again. All someone has to do is accuse someone, and even if false, it could derail their political campaign or career. If it’s true, that’s okay, but if it’s false, that would be terrible.

They are going to go after Trump - Russia isn’t working for them.
