“Again, nope.. one rogue Senator is not worth $30 Million!! Republicans are heading into a Senatorial Election that is almost certain to see them gain a few seats.. just look at the map of which seats are up in 18.... 1 Rouge senator for 12 months isn’t going to affect much of anything.... This isn’t about ideology or anything so simple... something bigger is in play that that... and no one is talking...”

I agree. So many “tea party” candidates have turned out to be easily controlled regular establishment senators once they win, such as Rubio, Sasse, etc. From what I have read, Moore will not be easily controlled. That is why it is so important to them.

It is not for 12 months. The winner of this election will fill the seat for the remainder of Sessions‘ term, due to end on January 3, 2021., i.e., until the end of Trump's first term.

La Raza Marco Rubio was only a tea party candidate to the open borders contingent of tea partiers.

From the very beginning he spoke of enforcing the border to english speaking audiences while promising amnesty when speaking at La Raza events and other Spanish language venues. There were a fair number of Free Republic threads on this, with links to YouTube presentations of the Spanish Language events in question.

Rubio had to be lying to one group or the other, and either way he was exhibiting severe character flaws.
