“As soon as they jump into the car and speed off, we can’t do anything. They just speed right by us and they can wave to us and pretty much we’ll wave back because we’re not allowed to chase a car for a property crime.

“Even if you catch somebody, which is very rare, there is no punishment behind it. So that’s another layer of frustration. … It’s almost making a mockery of the entire judicial system.

Un-freaking believable. Only satisfaction comes from the ultra liberal Palo Alto residents reaping the results of their progressive actions.

See crime is down. Re-distribution of wealth and able to keep criminals...their lifetime voter base on the streets.

Next up....taking us out.

The worst of them, though, live in gated communities and have drivers and personal shoppers who do all the “dirty work” for them.

“Auto burglars are having a field day in the Palo Alto area. They come from as far away as Oakland, Richmond, Emeryville and San Francisco...”

The first question most California liberals will have is, “Are they carpooling and making use of public transportation in their daily commutes?”

An explosion of California property crimes — due to Prop. 47

In November, a CA state court ruled that this included cars valued below $950.

Amazing. California is becoming a cancer on the national body. The San Andreas fault could do us all a favor.

Dye packs, exploding goods, Electric fencing units attached to valuables, Cat $hit inside a nice wrapped gift box, Fox urine inside a perfume bottle, M-80's tied to a pull cord fuse.

It's just un-American and un-manly to expect the government to be exacting justice on these people when you can have so much fun doing it.

Same thing is going on here in Anchorage. Steal a car and get caught - on the third *conviction* - you get a suspended sentence.

Here it was SB-91 - pushed by the ACLU and the PEW Foundation.

https://www.adn.com/features/alaska-news/crime-courts/2017/10/21/people-in-anchorage-are-fed-up-with-crime-did-sb-91-make-it-worse/

Than again - it could be the legalized pot

No matter - the city has turned into a cesspit.

Benitez, who has been on the front lines of law enforcement for nearly 30 years, said that under new laws, particularly Propositions 47 and 57, criminals are not going to jail for property crimes, and they know it.

The liberals in Sac adopted this bs re vehicles parked in the American river Park area. Fishermen, guides and kayakers and others often found their vehicles broken into and stuff stolen.

They were even stealing catalytic mufflers with battery powered electric saws.

I don’t know if that is still going on. It made this a definite go area for many of us.
