She's shown no signs of slowing down in her political activism.
And as Jane Fonda prepares to turn 80, she herself has admitted that even she thought she would have 'taken up gardening' rather than going 'back to the barricades'.
The veteran actress, who has spent more than five decades campaigning for various causes, said she is 'utterly terrified' to think that 'our freedoms, our democracy would be in jeopardy the way they are now'.
The two-time Oscar winner told Vanity Fair: 'I thought that we would have a woman president [by my 80th birthday].'

I’m sure I won’t be the first...
Jane Fonda- The mother of all ‘60’s throwbacks.
... she is ‘utterly terrified’ to think that ‘our freedoms, our democracy would be in jeopardy the way they are now...
That would have been absolutely true had Hellary won.
If Hanoi Jane is utterly terrified, things must be going well.
“...our freedoms, our democracy would be in jeopardy the way they are now...”
She’s right; it’s risky for a real conservative to speak up in public.
However, she has no solutions for the real problems.
Good! For years this pos helped the enemies of our freedom terrify many on our side so let her wallow in some of the same fear she caused.
Best. Election. EVER!
She has grown old but has never grown up.

Totally agree, but sadly the fault is Congress which since WWII has refused to do its constitutional duty and declare war against our military foes.

Evil Hollywood commie.
She cannot go back to Hanoi to protest because President Trump was recently welcomed in Vietnam. Her list of places would include Cuba, Iran, Venezuela, and North Korea.
I wonder how many Christmases she spent touring Vietnamese re- education centers?
She’s also wearing an enemy helmet.
She should first learn we’re a republic....not a democracy.
People are just gonna be people.
History is filled with examples of youthful indiscretions.
freedom: freedom to live unhindered by rules, standards, norms and license to do whatever we want democracy: mob-rule via consensus of followers of first definition
In Jane Fondas case, the wisdom rolled down her fathers leg. She definitely got old, however.
Most conservatives would be happy to vote for an American Margaret Thatcher for president.
But Jane Fonda is one of the strongest voices preventing conservative women from climbing our political ladders.
So, in this case, contrary to Shakespeare (Julius Caesar), the fault is in our stars, especially Hanoi Jane.
Sorry to hear Hanoi Jane is doing so well. The last major item on my bucket list is to piss on her grave. I have stored a bottle of my urine along with bottles from three of my friends that have passed. Mrs. Mad and my offspring are chartered to deliver them in the event I am ahead of HJ in death.
