I don’t see middle class tax increases as wise regardless of their machinations.

Our ultimate problem is a fairy godmother government, which in turn has filled the spiritual vacuum left by an ever more complacent church.

People are probably tired of my stories by now, but I’ll share another one anyhow.

My journeys have taken me to a historically black (yet theologically conservative) church in the city in which I am residing. These people do not “believe in vain.” They live in rough neighborhoods. People in white churches might talk about being saved from nicer sins, such as lust, maybe even envy and coveting. People here talk about being saved from crack and crime.

I’ve been urging these folks to reach out across racial boundaries. The white folks of the world, even the religious ones, might be more lost overall than they are. With exceptions, like yours redneck truly.

Completely agree.

The “middle class tax increase” might also at least be a more honest move. Instead of hiding taxes under the table, they are being brought out in plain sight.

Now, we have more reason to ask why taxes need to be so much.

And well, I kinda sorta understand what’s moving the secular liberals. I’m not a heartless chap. I’m only opposed to having faux love shut out genuine love. And idolizing government is a sure fire way to get lots and lots of faux love.

Why would you be equitable to an organization that desires the total destruction of Conservative values and Conservative political power?

Because God says so?

If you will not be fair to an enemy, you will not even be fair to a friend.

Besides you are being a distraction here. We’re talking about truths that endure, transcending trivial distractions. If we are not careful we will worry our blessings away.

I am talking about being equitable to TRUTH.

Re: “Reagan compromised ALL the time to get part of what he wanted.”

Would this be the same Ronald Reagan who publicly supported the 1986 Amnesty in exchange for workplace enforcement and more border security?

That worked out really well for Conservative Republicans. So well, in fact, that, today, Ronald Reagan could not be elected governor of California, or win the state of California in a presidential election.

Would this be the same Ronald Reagan who agreed to a tax increase in exchange for spending limits and a Social Security fix?

Inflation adjusted per capita spending has gone up every year since Reagan signed that compromise, and Social Security will be insolvent within 10 years.

Bottom Line - laws are completely useless if the administration in power does not enforce them, or if the Federal Judiciary invents new laws instead of enforcing old laws and the Constitution.

Re: “Governing is hard and difficult.”

That's ridiculous.

Obama governed flawlessly from the Left, using only Executive Orders, appointing only political soul mates to run the agencies, and maneuvering every legal problem to the courtroom of a politically friendly judge.

Perhaps they could make a provision that these checks must be picked up with valid I’d at the local ICE office

Re: “I am talking about being equitable to TRUTH.”

I have no idea what that means.

And, as to me being a “distraction,” you responded to a comment I had written to someone else.

I wrote back to you because I'm polite, and because I had a completely legitimate challenge to your “equitable” solution.

In my political universe, treating the Democrats equitably makes as much sense as the Israelis treating Hamas and Hezbollah equitably.

We might as well stop if you don’t have any respect for being equitable to truth.

You bitch that Democrats are somehow this perfectly united front of wickedness. If you ever looked closer, you’d see that this isn’t true at all.

You also bitch that from afar, Republicans don’t appear like a formidable front against Democrat desires. If you ever looked from the Democrat side (here’s that pesky being equitable to truth that you so hate) you’d see that isn’t true either.

But ultimately you spilled the beans on your own self when you said you have no idea what being equitable to truth means.

Truth is something that stands independent of any men’s opinions. We can see aspects of it by viewing situations symmetrically. By opposing doing so, you beg your own question.

So you have no “legitimate” beef at all. You only have a “petitio principi.”

Agree.

I was being polite again.

What I really meant was that you were writing gibberish.

Put the bourbon down. Go to sleep. Tomorrow is Monday. Wake up early and look for a job.

Thanks for revealing that your essence is rudeness.

Rudeness earns rudeness. What’s YOUR job, at this time in the morning? (I work around the clock.) What have YOU been overimbibing?

Answer these questions please.

You're correct. I don't think any of us realized how polluted the swamp is. As I said, the things that bother me are the unforced errors. Ivanka and Jared in the WH is not good....one thing the voters who voting against when choosing Trump is dynasties.

We're better off with him, for sure. But with this tax bill? Perhaps it should be scrapped. President Trump did not campaign on the rich getting richer.

Trump needs to fix this pronto.

The President is not going to fix this and we have not seen the end of this yet. He will have to veto it.

I believe we will see more deal making, like the Louisiana Purchase and such to get the bill finally passed at 11:59pm Christmas Eve.

Not to worry though, the illegals, gays and terrorists will be represented and taken very good care of and all slush fund Christmas stockings will be filled to bursting just in time for Christmas break.
