U.S. Made Secret Deal With ISIS to Let Thousands of Fighters Flee Raqqa to Battle Assad (Tr)

The U.S. military allowed thousands of Islamic State militant group (ISIS) fighters to flee from their de facto capital of Raqqa, Syria, in a secret deal that boosted the U.S. fight against the forces of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, according to a former Pentagon-backed commander, who has since switched his allegiance to Turkey and who spoke to Reuters.

As the spokesperson for the Syrian Democratic Forces, a mostly Kurdish coalition of Arabs and ethnic minorities, Brigadier General Talal Silo acted as the face and the voice of the U.S.’s leading partner against ISIS in Syria. The U.S.-backed group successfully ousted ISIS from Raqqa in October.

Weeks later, in mid-November, Silo handed himself over to Turkey, an enemy of Kurdish efforts in northern Syria. For the first time since his switch, the senior commander has spoken out and claimed that the U.S.-led coalition let significantly more fighters out of the embattled city than it previously admitted to.

By the way, Newsweek is Weak News. Mostly nonsense, they are not smart enough to research anything and they don’t follow any particular news events.

Typical MSM crap.

The timing for this was supposedly last November. If it happened, it was on obama’s watch, not Trump’s.

Sorry, I’m not sure on the timing. Mid-November could refer to last month.

I’ve been out of touch a lot lately. News is not flowing freely like it was. The pre negotiation has begun for the “peace” after ISIS is totally ended.

Now the problem is Turkey and Iran. And Assad is doing whatever Iran wants him to do. Same with Baghdad and Iran.

So, we shall soon see how it works out.

Hot or cold.

Israel has been knocking out munitions bases near Damascas. On Iranian Militia bases.

The Iranian Quds commander has threatened the US. He is a hands on battlefield commander, as arrogant as they come.

Iran may have nukes. There is some talk they bought them from the NORKS. This may be Israel’s target.

We will have to wait and see.

My wife has had health problems. Has been in the hospital several times over the past 3 months. She is doing well now, but I am trying to nurse her.

The guy is a prisoner of the Turks, so nothing he says can be taken at face value or trusted.

That would be out long time NATO partner Turkey, right?

Why would Turkey want this guy to lie about ISIS being allowed to flee Raqqa?

Sounds like lib disinfo designed to piss-off Trump supporters.

Newsweak lies, all the time, the challenge is to figure out which anti American agenda they are trying to promote with those lies.

Here President Trump is not mentioned anywhere in the article, but the "U.S." and the "U.S.-led coalition" is quoted as denying any involvement with supporting ISIS. During the Obama Regime and with John McCain, we know this is not true.

This may be an attempt to sling the mud from Obama - McCain - State Dept and CIA crimes onto President Trump.

I find it peculiar that the leader of such a spectacularly brutal and dangerous cult as ISIS - Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi- has evaded death or capture by all of the planet’s premier military and intelligence organizations and is still out there rallying remnants of his cult to regroup in Libya

One could almost imagine a powerful protection conspiracy

Turks brought ISIs on themselves like Pakistan brought Talebs on themselves. Now they want to spin it as America

Kurds only had an amnesty deradicalization program to prevent the killing of civilians and getting some intel on ISIs

That would be our highly unreliable, increasingly Islamist “NATO ally” Turkey, run by the scumbag dictator Erdogan.

Yes, Turkey has strong disinformation interests in making the Kurds look bad, in making the USA look bad for working with the Kurds, and in making Turkish enabling of ISIS, Iran, and other terrorists get whitewashed.

I’m not saying I know this guy is wrong, I’m saying nothing coming from the Turks can be trusted and he is under control of the Turks.

Here is Talal Silo in a short video explaining that the SDF is really YPG/PKK and that this SDF facade was created to give the US cover to directly arm the Kurdish fighters Turkey considers terrorists.

I had read the above, not that I know much of anything, but I like factual news, and am concerned about the ME and what might happen here, of course. Many thanks for all additional and explanations.

And prayers for the well being and health of your wife and yourself. Being a caretaker is also stressful.
