Some TV documentary I watched a few years ago featured many b&w photos taken during the Civil War.
There were several photos of large Union army encampments and right beside them were many tents where the female “camp followers” stayed. When the soldiers moved to a new area, the army also moved the women and their tents.

When General Hooker was commanding the Union army he consolidated all the DC prostitutes into one central part of the city. He was afraid the Confederacy would attack and his men would be spread out over the entire city.
The DC prostitutes were referred to as “Hookers Army”.
A couple of years ago the History channel had a documentary on WWII.
One whole segment, an hour, was given to the prostitutes “servicing” the sailors from Pearl Harbor.
During the build up there were thousands of horny military “members” looking for the company of the Ladies For Hire.
Some enterprising hookers took over a hotel.
Two prostitutes were assigned to each floor. They wore only a flimsy robe to facilitate speed.
From the second she entered the room to the second she left the guy had five minutes to do his business. After fives minutes she was walking out the door regardless of the outcome.
Prostitution was so rampant the citizens of Hawaii demanded action.
The government and the military made an agreement. Prostitution would be legal in specific zones only.
The civilians were quieted, the military was happy and the prostitutes got filthy rich.
Some of the hookers bought pricey mansions amongst the elites of the islands.
Five dolla MPC, No VD, No MP.
Those were the days.

Although this “idea” was on a discussion forum, let’s consider if we should apply the love your neighbor as yourself principle and ask the boots if they thinks it’s ok to supply adultery or fornication for them, is it ok to supply adultery or fornication for their wives, too?

Yes; Central Asians seem to be much more a gene mix than in the heart of the Middle East. There are even remnants of the armies of Alexander and the Romans there.
I'm sure the Aussies have a lot of recruits who wash out, just like the USA. What do you do with them? Unsuited for combat, but they could still serve.
Hell this could solve our "draft dilemma". If the draft ever gets reinstituted, should it be men only? That's not gender-equal. So what do we do with all the women drafted who can't handle the physical demands of combat?
Horrifying, isn't it, that the government might make you a whore because you can't lift a 150-pound pack, but the front-line troops have just as much or more "skin" in the game.
OTOH, just thinking what a "government issue" hooker would look like gives me the willies...
From what I saw while I was in the Army, I would never advise anyone to be married while in the service. Sure, there are always stories of those marriages that made it, but the rate of cheating and sudden dissolution of marriages was horrifying. The “Jody” phenomenon is real, and so is the “Dear John” phenomenon.

Personally, a vow is a vow. If one side keeps it, the other should as well.
That being said...
The woman who I was married to on my first deployment told me that the, “Group,” of spouses of deployed personnel that she was with actually said that they should EXPECT their Wives and Husbands to, “Get some,” while overseas.
Of course, she was the one who couldn’t be bothered to keep her panties on, so she might have just said that as an excuse. Take it with a grain of salt.
