Thank you for noticing.
I’m glad I spent most of that decade getting shot at. Those are the people ruling you now. Yes, ruling you.
....”She’ll always give you a piece of ass.”
I hated that line at the time. I was a guy in 1oth grade and thought it was very demeaning to middle class girls.

Geez, what a crashing bore Puritan Nancy Boy you must have been. I’m sure you’re a barrel of monkeys now, though.
I wasnt born until December, 1970 but I am familiar with that song. I always considered that song to be silly but, at the same time, kind of catchy. IMO, the guy does come across as sort of a creep.
I can name two popular songs when I was growing up that I loved: Relax by Frankie Goes to Hollywood and She Bop by Cyndi Lauper.
When those songs came out, I paid no attention to the lyrics and had no idea what the songs were about. My friends and I used to sing Relax in Home Ec class.
We had NO idea:)
This on the T.S.Eliot poem and the usage of the name Mungojerrie. I have read and re read his poem
The Love Song of J.Alfred Prufrock.
I cannot say I am well versed enough to understand all poetry. There is a certain beauty to it though.
Having been required to read that in Freshman English Lit, I’d love for you or anyone to explain the appeal of that. It struck me as the insipid rambling of a very spoiled and self-absorbed man with a morbid imagination.
“Have a drink, Have a Drive....”
Yeah, the MADD folks would just love that.
Written by Randy Newman
Just stay clear of the Klaus Nomi version.
Having been required to read that in Freshman English Lit, I'd love for you or anyone to explain the appeal of that.
I lead with my chin of my statement (chuckle). Perhaps the appeal was that I recognized a little bit of myself in Prufrock.
Correction.
I lead with my chin on my statement (chuckle)
How bout this:
If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So from my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you.
Then how about Rod Stewart’s pedifile song Tonight’s The Night?
I have that song as part of my collection. Stewart doesn't mention an exact age; I've always thought of the song as one of seduction and not child-rape.
His love object has been hard to get alone. Yes, she is a virgin, but everyone is at one time. I get the idea he wants to make love; a heterosexual pedophile only wants to have sex with a prepubescent girl. I've never tried it, but a prepubescent girl isn't physically able to "make love."
J Geils had a hit with this.
