He should have used this quote from the Byzantine Emporer. Although when Pope Benedict used it not too long ago a nun and a security guard where killed in Pakistan just to show how false the statement was and how Islam is the religion of peace.

Personally I think the sooner some students learn to tell administrators and teachers to “bite me.” the better. It was a nonsense charge enforced by emotional pablum and not facts. It was a gotcha that he had no way of escaping. So might as well hang for a loaf as a crumb. If free speech is subject to subjective mealy mouth pearl clutchers make that speech as short and plain as you can to get your point across.
