The real tragedy is that the FBI was once an agency of impeccable integrity and competence. Under Clinton, an indifferent Bush and especially under Obama, the FBI was permeated with political commissars who were diligent into transforming it into a Federal secret police agency concentrating on domestic affairs. It no longer has a tight grip on the foreign diplomats and spies that operate in NYC at the UN or at the embassies in Washington,D.C. Its upper and middle management are political dogs. The working agents know that no one has their backs.

So the author had to go back to 1986 to illustrate what heroes the FBI employs. Back to over 30 years ago to paint the picture of heroism. Sorry but that FBI is long gone and, sorry to say, is NOT coming back. Corruption and networking in the Swamp is the way to get ahead in the FBI today. Men/women like Mueller are the beady-eyed, reptilian models that agents emulate and suck up to now.

It’s sad when you have to accept that you can’t talk to the FBI, that they can’t be trusted to do justice, that you must protect yourself from being railroaded like LTG Flynn was and always – always always always – demand to speak to your attorney and demand that the FBI not question you if they come sniffing around.

The only FBI agent I know personally is a former Marine, did two tours as a Cobra pilot in Iraq and is a true warrior. He is about as far from Comey and Mueller as a man can be. That’s whom I think of when I think of the FBI, not these pusillanimous bureaucrats. But there definitely needs to be a major house-cleaning.
