At least six Democratic women in the U.S. Senate are calling on Sen. Al Franken of Minnesota to resign after the latest allegation of sexual misconduct was published Wednesday morning. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Sen. Claire McCaskill of Missouri, Sen. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii, Sen. Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire, Sen. Patty Murray of Washington and Sen. Kamala Harris of California each released statements of social media messages calling on Franken to resign.
In the latest allegation, a woman told POLITICO that Franken tried to forcibly kiss her following a taping of his radio show in 2006. A former Democratic congressional aide, who was not identified by POLITICO, said Franken pursued her after her boss left the studio. When she tried to avoid him, she claims he told her: "It's my right as an entertainer."
Franken, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by several other women, denied the latest accusation.

Six senators on Wednesday called on fellow Democrat Al Franken to resign, in a jaw-dropping avalanche of statements addressing the latest allegations against the Minnesota senator.
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, kicked things off, publishing a post on Facebook aptly titled Senator Franken Should Step Aside (read here). Democratic Sens. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii, Claire McCaskill of Missouri, Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire, Patty Murray of Washington and Kamala Harris of California all followed suit.
This comes on the heels of yet another woman coming forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against Franken, which he has denied as categorically not true.
Gillibrands Facebook statement says that while she has considered Franken a friend, this moment of reckoning about our friends and colleagues who have been accused of sexual misconduct is necessary, and it is painful.
Hirono immediately followed suit, publishing a thread on Twitter explaining her decision:
Trump and gop ought to get a head of this and start floating some conservative women names as candidates to replace him and run for office when due.
No President Franken?
The Obama faction of the Dem party wants that seat for the Muslim Keith Ellison who is even more radical than Franken.
This is absurd. I hate Franken. He is a communist clown but — HEY— what is the statute of limitations on an attempted kiss. I was rejected at age 9 — is that still lingering in my life. These women are not entitled to ruin me on long lost recognition of an attempted kiss. That is insane!!!!!!!!
I thought Fags were degenerates, too.

Ha Ha!!! Oh the comedian Senator finally gets his just desserts....
I despise that smug POS....
Totally Agree!
She’s waiting for the smoke signals................
If you are a woman and you feel there has been an assaulton you— Go immediately to your Iphone and dial 911. If you fail to do that within a reasonable time (* I suggest 1 dat after a brutal rape to figure that out ) them its too late!!!This 40 year crap is Female tyranny. I seriously demand ,as male, a reasonable limitations or it is just deemed a contrived lie as we have seen on the Roy Moore attempted smear that failed.
It’s not about Franken, it’s about Moore. They know he’s going to win, and anything they try to do or say about Moore is going to be evaluated by the standard applied to Franken. They fear Moore and so they will have to sacrifice Weird Al.
They are building up for some sort of attack on Trump I’d bet. They probably have found a bunch of women from Trump’s past. So right now, perhaps the idea is to sacrifice pawns for a King?
Of course, it's DemoRat, what would you expect?
If they don’t want Moore, Franken has to go. Either way, I’m grinning.
If the Governor of Minnesota were a Republican, calls for resignation would never surface.
I speculate you are right. It needs to be made very clear that these women are barred by Laches if they dilly dally too many circles of the Sun. We have established that principle with Moore and it must be made clear that we as a people are unmoved my these stale complaints.
