A biased criminal investigation of anyone is unacceptable. A biased criminal investigation of the U.S. president is intolerable.
How often do we hear that only banana republics investigate political losers (e.g., Mrs. Clinton)? I’m pretty sure I’ve said it myself.
We investigate political winners because it’s important to ensure that those who hold office don’t abuse the public trust. But to conduct ideologically biased investigations of political winners that place them in jeopardy of being removed from office is most assuredly the stuff of banana republics.
What to do? I concur with a friend who says that Rod Rosenstein should direct Mueller to fire everyone on his staff who has made a political contribution or otherwise could be reasonably thought to be a partisan. If Mueller refuses, as he certainly would, Rosenstein should fire Mueller.

Not a bad idea. Sort of the old Roman Legion idea of decimation. I’d call it decimation-lite as in the Roman Legion version of decimation one executed 10% of the soldiers as punishment.

That's exactly where my idea came from. Marine Corps basic training uses the same concept - you f** up, and the unit pays the price for not keeping you in line. Right now, there is no penalty whatsoever within FBI culture for playing politics, personal advancement, having sex with married colleagues, etc... If these hacks knew they were being watched by others in the agency, they would moderate their behavior.

Excellent point about the group watching out for the misbehavior of their own. If there is no punishment for the wicked, but instead the wicked are instead rewarded, the poor honest schlub begins to wonder, “why am I following the rules”?

Politicians come and go, but the permanent (leftist) bureaucracy lives forever. Trump my clean house, or expose a few miscreants, but how can the public ever trust such highly powerful agencies who have great and constant temptations to abuse their power?

This is old hat. we knew from the gitgo that the Mueller probe was a “witch huntâ€. We also knew that the so called “independent prosecutor†hired a large group of fat cat Hillary donors to pursue,the investigation. As many freepers wrote at the time that Trump should terminate Mueller in the interest of a fair investigation. The way they “sandbagged” Gen. Flynn is unbelievable. The FBI needs a complete makeover from top to bottom. Sessions, Rosenstein, McCabe along with Mueller have got to go.
The Fascists and Democrats are simply “giddy” over the prospect that Muller will succeed in turning us into a lawless banana republic with the establishment of a secret police force who reports to no level of government other than their leader. It is now known that the FBI and Muller’s henchmen are not restrained by any laws to do anything they wish, at any time, and for any reason...as long as it is to get rid of President Trump or destroy the WEAK Republican party that has people like John McCain to run interference for the Democrats.
