Politics isn’t the only game in town. Just a really crummy one. Living conservatively is a better plan. Raising righteous children is another, better plan. Simply being free is a good plan. And of course the Lord showed us the best plan of all.

None of which can be practiced outside a particularly narrow political environment.

How exactly are you defining “politics,” anyway? Is it not the actions taken by those pursuing the advancement of a particular set of POLICIES?

Christianity has been practiced for over 2000 years in often horrible environments. Oddly enough it seems to do well in times and areas where repression is the rule. So, I don’t buy the idea that Christianity or even all forms of secular personal freedom need rely on a narrow political environment to flourish.

By politics I mean electoral, governmental politics. Christians should avoid it like the plague.
