“Gay rights”. When did it become a right to force others to do things they don’t want? That’s what “gay rights” is all about I think. Not the right to do what they want, the power for force others to do what they don’t want.

>>Tuesdays clash at the high court pits baker Jack Phillips First Amendment claims of artistic freedom against the anti-discrimination arguments of the Colorado Civil Rights Commission, and two men Phillips turned away in 2012.
Same sex marriage wasn’t even recognized by Colorado in 2012 (not until 2014).
How can you be compelled by the state to produce a wedding cake when the state itself does not recognize the wedding or marriage???

The objective is destruction of the traditional family, and squashing people of faith.

I agree... The whole pageantry of the thing is one of force and idolizing it. If it’s to be permitted to carry on, please I hope our government will not require the unwilling to be caught up in it.

Catching up the unwilling is what takes it from a closet activity towards a Sodom-grade activity.

But he didnt refuse to make a cake for 2 homosexual men
He refused to make a cake for a homosexual ceremony
If 2 straight people wanted to order a homosexual ceremony cake he woulda denied them too
If the lads wanted a birthday cake I’m sure he woulda baked one for them

Best distillation of the problem I’ve seen.
Bears repeating.

The left wants to force people to choose between their job and their faith. By making them go against their faith, they hope to destroy their faith.

He refused to make a cake for a homosexual ceremony A fine line that the court will have to take into consideration.
To: markomalley
Did they refuse to sell him a cake? Or did they refuse to embellish the cake with words that conscience wouldn’t allow them to use? Methinks there’s a difference.

What can you say about the sodomites. They have regained the power of their glory days in Sodom as the enemies of decency, the purveyors of diseases of mind and body, and the open hatred for Christians.

"When did it become a right to force others to do things they dont want? " Since the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The court will side with the plaintiffs using the rationale it is not lawful to refuse to sell to blacks. I agree with your sentiments, I just do not foresee a favorable decision.

Gay rights. When did it become a right to force others to do things they dont want? Thats what gay rights is all about I think. Not the right to do what they want, the power for force others to do what they dont want.By your reasoning, I should not have to serve black people at my lunch counter, allow interracial couples to ride in my taxi, let Asian people rent one of my cars, or provide a room to Hispanic people at my hotel.
To: Labyrinthos
By your reasoning, I should not have to serve black people at my lunch counter...
Why should you have to serve anyone? Isn't that slavery? It doesn't matter whether your motives are good or bad, as long as you're not harming anyone else or taking away their freedom to do what they want. The government should never be in the business of forcing people to do things against their will, regardless of what they're "thinking". Maybe you don't want to serve someone for another reason completely, and they just happen to be black, or homosexual, or a woman, or whatever? Who determines what you're thinking?
To: buckalfa
Behavior is NOT ancestry.
It is what these people DO that violates the religious conscience.
NOT their ancestry.
