While everyone's talking about special counsel Robert Mueller and his investigation into the Trump campaign's communication with the Russian government, the president's lawyers are preparing for an altogether different case.
On Tuesday, in a New York state Supreme Court hearing, they're expected to try to have a defamation case against the president dismissed. If they fail, the president could be forced to testify on allegations that he sexually harassed more than a dozen women.
The suit was filed by Summer Zervos, a former contestant on "The Apprentice," who claimed last year that Trump "very aggressively" kissed her, groped her breasts, and began "thrusting" his genitals at her in a 2007 meeting at The Beverly Hills Hotel. Her claim is that Trump damaged her reputation when he called her a liar.
The hearing comes amid a torrent of scrutiny around sexual misconduct by powerful men in the US following bombshell revelations regarding years of alleged sexual abuse by Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. The allegations cost Weinstein his job and, subsequently, women have come forward with a variety of allegations against high-profile journalists, lawmakers, and executives.
Trump's lawyers are expected to argue that the suit against him should be thrown out or delayed until after his term on the grounds that a sitting president can't be sued in state court. Part of their reasoning is that a trial could distract Trump from his official business as president.

Clinton v. Jones, 520 U.S. 681 (1997) was a federal civil suit. Does it make a difference that a State court is trying to force President Trump to testify?

“If” any of these allegations are true, enough time has passed they couldn’t be actionable and no suit should see the light of day.
In Several instances, “If true”, seems like he was coming on to them and was rebuffed.

If there was a witness the suit would have been filed long ago.
Without a witness this is just an embarrassment.
Trump should simply have his attorney appear on his behalf and deny everything.
Refuse the summons of a State court.

She made the Allegations and he denied them.
It’s a defamation trial, not sexual harassment. She really has no standing either, but with judges these days...
They can’t touch him until he is done with his term.
Unless there is DNA evidence, then it is just “he said she said”.
Clinton left DNA evidence of his lies.
That being said, Trump should refuse to testify. He might face Civil sanctions and could default. A default judgment would have saved Clinton a lot of grief.

Clinton could have simply defaulted. Then the only issue would have been damages. Clinton's biggest screw up was in actually filing an answer in the Paula Jones case. He should have just ignored it.

I wondered what happened to that woman. Now I know. She obviously was laying low... She’s the owner of Sunny’s restaurant in Huntington Beach, CA and even her own brother said her accusations didn’t bear scrutiny during the campaign. Wasn’t Gloria representing her at one time? Might have known Gloria hangs on like a pit bull.....
