We don’t know why he rammed them off the road. As said above, the road is dangerous and people speed and drive crazy on it. Could maybe have been the shooter was angry because the family was driving the speed limit and were in his way.

Yes it is one hell of a road. I always thought that it would be a great Race Track if shut down. 183 north to 281 south then left on 1431 in Marble Falls back through Lago Vista/Jonestown and back to 1431 and 183. Repeat.

Suggest you rent and watch “LA Story.” And watch the part where Steve Martin and his girl friend Marilu Henner are on the freeway on April first and discover that that is an “open season day” on the freeway, and they proceed to do battle with the Spring Mountain water truck driver who’s using a shotgun!

Another happy ending to a story about a driver from one of the western states, perhaps?

Dash cams and bumper cams are good additions along with cell phones only for emergency calls. Infantile road tantrums should be stopped. Prepare to get the evidence, and legislate the death penalty for them.

Could maybe have been the shooter was angry because the family was driving the speed limit and were in his way. It is likely that there is no valid or reasonable explanation. Many, if not a majority of people these days have no consideration for anyone, particularly when they are driving. Our society has been in decline for my entire life. I do not expect the trajectory to change... especially with people from rougher parts of the world making up a larger and larger percentage of our population.
