Admin slams 'homonormative whiteness' of LGBTQ Centers

Despite being designed as “inclusive” spaces, one university administrator claims that many campus LGBTQ Centers are bastions of “homonormative whiteness.”

In an academic journal article published Monday, Assistant Director of LGBTQIA Programs & Services at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Jonathan T. Pryor argues that LGBTQ students feel marginalized on his campus, even in spaces designed to support them, such as Greek Life and the school’s LGBTQ Center.

I played professional sports a long time ago.

A long time friend and fellow player was/is gay (albeit in a quiet sort of way).

He couldn’t stand the “queens” as he called them. Nor the gay life style.

As far as I can tell, they are upset that the gay movement is dominated by white homosexuals who see themselves as their birth sex (i.e., not transgender).

It’s just another indication that they will NEVER be happy, and so it is pointless to give in to any of their demands.

As a Missouri taxpayer I’m thrilled to learn that UMKC has “LGBTQIA Programs & Services” and that they are extensive enough to require both a director and an assistant director. At least in its financial and enrollment troubles Mizzou is not cutting out the essentials.
