Michael Flynn, the former Trump national security adviser who was dismissed earlier this year, was charged with making false statements to the FBI Friday, becoming the latest associate of the president's to face charges related to the special counsel probe.

I wouldn’t call Flynn a politician.

I’m an attorney in civil practice, and I refer any criminal matters to criminal counsel. I do, however know the three most important rules for criminal defendants and suspects:
1. Don’t talk to the cops.

Well. Now I suppose the case is closed. Flynn must have claimed he had a white dog, when in fact it was a Yellow Lab. Now he should expect prison time,... UNLESS he can help the prosecutor get another head.
Or, Mueller has many things and Flynn is singing to save himself and/or his son.
The over-the-moon positivity here regarding this development seems a bit short-sighted to me.

Did Flynn actually work for the Trump campaign? How long was hs in a the administration? A few weeks? How could he know anything about Trump/collusion?

I hope Trump issues him a pardon this afternoon. This is a process crime that had nothing to do with any collusion, as was alleged by the hysterical left grasping for reasons why they lost. Mueller is firing blanks because he has nothing.
