Just reading your past comments, and throughout the last few months you have attacked the British while always defending the far left cowards called the French.
LOL You say the Brits are not our allies, because they attack us verbally , and yet you love the french who attack us in a vile manner, and ignore the deaths of brave American, and British men and women.

Then there it was. Your husband was French, LOL Yep it is all clear why your hatred, and bias is being spouted.
Shame really as many of your posts are not bad on other issues.

So you follow Ike in his worship of the Brits to the detriment of Americans. You have limited exposure to the real history between our two countries. Wake up and fly right. Evidently our British “cousins” have warped your view. I have many British friends who agree with me. Most of them now live in France because England isn’t England any more.
Your disparaging remarks about the French show your arrogant ignorance. Throughout history the French have stood by us. Can’t say the same about the Brits! Jacques Chirac betrayed us in favor of Saddam and was the exception to the rule. In the first Gulf War, it was the French who made the sweeping drive that allowed our troops to destroy Saddam’s hoards. According to my son, they were the only troops other than ours who knew what the hell they were doing! Guess you want to argue with a retired 20 year Marine!
I never said I “hated” the British. I simply disagree with how they have destroyed their own country and continue to do so due to their socialist beliefs. My personal experiences in England have never been anywhere as near as pleasant as my experiences in France. Those experiences span many many years. The French people, with rare exceptions, love America. The English think they have the right to criticize our existence.

The French LOL. The only good thing about that military is their legion which is made up of immigrants.
Answer this.
Have you ever served along side the British military, and have you seen them save American lives?
Has Britain lost lives fighting for us in Iraq, and Afghanistan?

You know nothing about the military only from books, and what you have been told by your French husband who I might add France is not the old France either.
If you knew anything like your son then you would now this quote back then about the French “Going to war without France is like going hunting without an accordion.”
He was not too keen on the French and they have proved how useless they are, however he has stated many good things as many other Generals and servicemen and women have about the British, it is just your ignorance, and bias which is getting in the way and maybe if you have served ten you would know who is a good military and a bad cowardly one

Answer those questions, and then have some frog legs

Actually, if we have a ‘best’ ally it is probably Australia. The ROK and Japan are probably next. The UK and France are too tied to the bureaucracy of NATO and the EU.

Okay, I meet your criteria: Having trained and deployed in and with all of the countries you’ve mentioned, I rate the Australians as the best ally (and good blokes) we have, followed closely by the Koreans and the JGSDF. My evaluation criteria: well trained, interoperable with US forces, similar values and commitment to freedom. Both the UK and France are good, but their national self interests have always cost the US more in blood and treasure than any return we’ve received...IMHO.

regards,

Never got to serve along side the Ozzies but have heard good things.
As for allies, well Britain has a good military, well trained, and has been there for us, but the problem is that the leadership of the UK, Australia Japan all change.

Since you have no idea what you are talking about, I’ll excuse your narrow minded bigotry....for now.

Well, let me put it this way: I would have no problem cross-attaching an American unit to an Australian unit, under the command of Australian officers (or Canadian now that I think about it). I would trust their competence, level of training and commitment to the well-being of US troopers.

I would not feel that level of confidence in British or French units/commanders.

If he gets to Hawaii, his unit will likely train all over the Pacific. It’s great fun, and a real education for an American.

I can;t comment on the Aussies since I have not served with them, but I have served with the British Marines, and Army, and have no problem with America, and British military being together since they are very professional.

no idea, and yet I have been there with them, you have not, and even you bring up Desert Storm and I gave you a quote by a Storming Norman who was not keen on the French either.
All your bias comes from is your French husband , and that is OK, but you should comment on something you have had experience with, and what you know

Your assumption that my French husband influenced my thinking is ridiculous. My opinions were reached long before I ever met him. Arrogance is your defining trait. Too bad you destroy an otherwise good impression by your foul mouth and ignorant assertions. Your grammar needs some work as well.Maybe the women in your life have been mush headed females who click their heels when you snap your fingers. I do not fit that genre. My French husband escaped the Nazis and fought with the Maquis for the duration of the second world war. That is only a part of the story.

Yet you cannot answer simple questions about who has served, been there, saw things.

Did you serve?
Have you seen Americans have their lives saved off British military?
If you think the French are well known for being friends of ours in the last couple of decades then so be it, but it speaks volumes about your thinking.
Hey maybe it was Bush right after 9/11 who called the French first , yea right.

A socialist hell hole of a country is France, and yes Britain, and the West are not fare behind

Your opinions were formed long before you met your husband!!! Er opinions should have changed over time since the world changes.
So you defended France and called them a great, no our best ally when they told Reagan to not fly over their airspace. Guess who let Reagan use their airspace.
I guess everytime we have gone to war in your mind we always call France first, oh no wait we don;t .
Even the General in charge of Desert Storm did not want them there with him as he did not trust them.
Have you ever seen the French military in action? Like I said only their legion is OK and they are made from immigrants of the world, and get treated like crap off the government whilst they serve.

The French LOL

Doubt I speak French what on earth has that go to to do with anything LOL
I see you still cannot answer any questions about who gets, and got the first call to help us after 9/11, or address if you have served along side them seeing Americans being saved.

May sound like a stupid question I'll admit, but can someone tell what Britain has ever really done for us?
