NK doing it because our media keep saying it’s been forever since they did it last. Media gloating and daring NK to do it. Now, they’ve done it!
Hopefully they haven’t advanced to that yet. Most likely is a ballistic missile. But you are correct , if it is guided to the target on the ground then it is not a ballistic missile.
Not really, as they are doing this pretty regularly. But, one of these days one of those things is going to crash onto someone's house somewhere (perhaps in Japan) and hurt someone... then perhaps it'll become a BFD.

Shoot the damn things down. Every one they launch .
Every one is a clear and present threat , every one should be considered a legitimate self defense TARGET .
Even if we miss ...TRY !
There should not be a single unopposed launch from here forward .
US, Russia , China , and Japan should all engage the NK launches . Every one .
