Anti-Trump MSNBC Host Joy Reid Thinks Rural Americans Are 'Core Threat' To Democracy
Fox News ^ | 11-27-2017 | Brian Flood

MSNBC host Joy Reid thinks that rural Americans are “the core threat to our democracy” and pointed to a series of tweets by liberal author Jared Yates Sexton that claimed Trump supporters “do not believe in the Constitution or any founding principles unless they're advantageous” as proof of her far-left theory.

“By 2040, about 70% of Americans are expected to live in the 15 largest states. They will have only 30 senators representing them, while the remaining 30% of Americans will have 70 senators representing them,” MSNBC producer Kyle Griffin tweeted over the weekend.

Reid, who tweets so often that it’s amazing she finds time to do anything else, has a feed that is essentially the anti-Trump talking points of the far left on a daily basis. While Sexton never specifically mentioned the “rural minority” in his rant, the MSNBC host took it upon herself to quote Griffin’s tweet add her own commentary tied to Sexton's thread.

“This is the core threat to our democracy. The rural minority -- the people @JYSexton just wrote a long thread about -- have and will continue to have disproportionate power over the urban majority,” Reid tweeted.

Maybe we need to pass Gun-To-Your-Head Control, eh, nitwit? Right now, in 2017, California alone has fifty-three seats, seven times more than Alaska, Delaware, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, and Wyoming combined -- and that's 12 percent of the total (435). Bu 2040. the House will have shifted even more into those top 15 states, and will have done so twice (with a third one in the offing).

Well jeez, must I “be on record” to satisfy a believer in the current political system such as yourself? Are we in parliament? The senate? Why don’t you stick your head out the window and look around and tell me if our system of politics is working? Daily, the PTB are trying to remove Trump from office for offenses as yet determined, none of which are true IMO. The MSM is the operational arm of the socialists. Our congress has it’s own pharmacy that makes daily deliveries of Alzheimer meds to our octogenarian representatives and we just learned of a Groper, tax payer supported slush fund to hush up molested women. One year into the Trump administration and a tax reduction bill still hasn’t made it to his desk all to the cheers of Antifa and the BLM communists. Keep your political system, it’s broken. I’ll be here in rural America prepared to act accordingly as things worsen.

Even Hitler was a able to make a rational case for the danger of democracy, universal suffrage, and its ultimate degeneration into Bolshevism.

“...democracy will in practice lead to the destruction of a people’s true values. And this also serves to explain how it is that people with a great past from the time when they surrender themselves to the unlimited, democratic rule of the masses slowly lose their former position; for the outstanding achievements of individuals...are now rendered practically ineffective through the oppression of mere numbers.”

“Democracy is the canal through which bolshevism lets its poisons flow into the separate countries and lets work there long enough for these infections to lead to a crippling of intelligence and of the force of resistance.”

How do we shut Joy and MSLSD up?
They, by their own words, are our enemies. They are threatening us and our right to lawful, Constitutional government.

The Electoral College could never be abolished without a Constitutional Amendment.

Good luck, Joyless Reid, with getting both the House and the Senate to sign on, and then having approval by 75% of the state legislatures.

If moonbats like the idiot Joyless Reid had their way, each presidential election would be determined by four groups...
(1) Illegal aliens living in Los Angeles (2) Left-wing moonbats living in Los Angeles (3) Illegal aliens living in New York City (4) Left-wing moonbats living in New York City.

No thank-you!

And what kind of final solution does this POS propose?

Liberals would amend the Constitution to abolish the Electoral College and the Senate. This would result in New York and California picking the President. The Liberals would have a big advantage in the House of Representatives (the only remaining House of Congress in this scenario). The smaller States and Conservatives could sometimes work together to block what the larger States wanted, but could never get anything they wanted, as anything they would want would be vetoed by the President who would be beholden to the large States and the Democratic Party.

Ultimately, abolishing the Electoral College and Senate would result in the vast majority of the States and the vast majority of the People, especially in rural parts of the country. Of course this will never happen, but Liberals like to dream.

The problem is the percentage of the rural population has been declining for decades. Republicans need to confront this fact and that, at some point, the Senate will be elected by urban dwellers.

Education of the urbanites is critical to preserving this republic.

Child, you are deeply in need of understanding that what you say online is EXPLICITLY ON THE RECORD. And you need wisdom to see what you are actually calling for. When you have a modicum of understanding for these, we can talk.

Until then, try to learn something.

In many (most) states, the big voting blocs are in the big liberal cities and they control the election of Senators from the state. So her argument doesn’t make a lick of sense.

Also, it’s a shame the Founding Fathers didn’t think of a way to modify the constitution as the nation evolved. If only they had thought of adding a mechanism to AMEND the constitution to fix things like she is complaining about. Then she could pursue her desired changes via that amendment mechanism to fix things. But no, there’s no way to amend the constitution and we are stuck with it. If only those Founding Fathers had had the sense to build in a way to change it.

Of course, there really is no need to amend the constitution at all when you have liberal courts who can reveal the true meaning hidden in the “penumbras.”
