The attorney for Democratic Michigan Rep. John Conyers, who is accused of continuously sexually harassing his female staffers, defended Conyers by indicating that there are allegations against "many members" of the House and Senate.

"[Conyers' attorney] acknowledged that while these allegations are serious, they are simply allegations," the statement said. "If people were required to resign over allegations, a lot of people would be out of work in this country including many members of the House, Senate and even the president."
The statement said that Conyers has "no plans to resign" despite calls for him to do so.

He is unable to do anything else.
At age 88, it’s hard to believe Conyers feels anything in his nether regions....never mind performing a sex act.
Maybe he could consider sexual public service?

Drain the swamp. I don't care if they're R or D. Get rid of them. Of course, start with the worst, like Conyers, and drag them down in shame. If those who are less dirty get the hint and leave, fine, just don't ever come back.
For at least four decades, my mom has been saying to just get rid of everyone in Congress - there's not enough good ones to worry about sorting. I used to argue against that but even back in the 1980s, she was probably right. Certainly is now.
A receipt for money received is “proof positive” of payment in lieu of prosecution, or of court action.
Payment is made to make the complaint to “go away”, lest conviction in a court of law occur.
A simple allegation is enough to ruin most politicians, especially if they are Republicans!

The Congress is like a fraternity. They look out for each other and are fully aware of what is going on. Some of these sexual incidents are felonies. McConnell and Ryan are completely ineffective when it comes to passing legislation but they will be working overtime to keep a lid on this. They will not be successful. John suggests that he will not be going down alone. I am sure someone will send his a bus schedule. It that is to subtle maybe a dead horse’s head in his bed will do. There is extreme panic going around. Popcorn sales will be soaring

All are under investigation.
No details yet on the basis for the additional allegations.

Well, many of those allegations come with EVIDENCE. Perhaps his attorney will not be so quick to “judge” others that have no evidence to back up their claims, unlike the evidence against his client.
