“My revolver. I dropped it when you pushed me into the canal.”
“Well, what do you need a gun for?” She gave him a look that made him feel stupid.
“Wouldn’t you like to have one right about now?”
“I see your point. I’ll tell you what. I’ll replace your camera and your phone and your gun.”
She sighed. “That one was special.”
“How can a gun be special?”
“It was a graduation present.”
“A graduation present? What kind of psychopath gives a girl a gun for graduation? A car I could see, but a gun?”
