Twenty years ago that would be one for the "you know, that would make a great band name" list.
I was a friend of Rather’s college room-mate at Sam Houston College in Huntsville, Texas. He stayed close to Rather until his death. Rather delivered a eulogy at his funeral in Sugar Land, Texas. He told me a lot of stories about Dan that are scandalous.
