Hmm but the founders said when making changes to the Constitution the politicians should go back politically to the time it was written and make changes according to that spirit. No living breathing Constitution.

I agree.

The problem is that leftists/liberal/democrats don’t believe the Constitution has a means to change. They believe that because it can’t be changed it needs to be reinterpreted, allowing it to breathe and change.

Most of the time I have this discussion with them and point out that the Constitution does allow for breathing and change, it is the amendment process. They usually go really? I go yea. Pass and amendment. Once they come to this understanding they usually say, well ok, but that would be cumbersome and difficult to do. I say it was intended to be that way, but if an amendment is really needed then it will pass.

So agreeing with them that the Constitution can change blows them away.

This would end up being a Christian worldview.

So it’s supposed to live and breathe the Holy Spirit. What it’s managed to live and breathe is demons.
