A Franken resignation would not lead to a Republican pick up of that Senate seat. Mark Dayton would appoint a replacement and a Democrat would win a special election.

If everyone, man and woman, was prosecuted for everything they’ve done since birth to ‘offend’ somebody, there would be NO ONE LEFT to hold a job - anywhere.
In this instance, some of Al Franken’s actions do have to be viewed through a lens of ‘what comedians do in front of a camera’. Comedians are going to act up. Eddie Murphy used to do this sort of thing too. The girl is there primarily because she is sexy, sexy enough to be in Playboy Magazine. I guarantee that influences how other people will act around you. She was not in Afghanistan because she ‘helped invent the internet’ like Heddy Lamar.
