Well not that long ago. However, you are correct we have now reached that point for sure. I would rather try to correct that reality and turn it around, than throw up my hands and say it's too late to even try.
Not if we do not allow then to. I will now vote for a 3rd party candidate over the Republican candidate of their choice and the party will whiter and die if enough of us follow suit. What it means is that we cannot allow the Republicans to win elections with incumbents that are known to support the GOPe in form & fashion. We must do this to assist President Trump to turn this nation around. A near impossible task yes, but not an impossible one.
Even worse, that no one called on Ted Kennedy to resign after killing a girl. He certainly wasn’t blameless in that accident. That is far worse than any of the accusations from these women from almost 40 years ago.
It’s an old line used often, especially as of late, to suggest that they were using their power to engage in illegal behavior by intimidation over the alleged victim.

Some probably are telling the truth. Others probably not. That's what makes it so confusing.
You could call it the "capstone-ing". The Democrats find out plenty of rumors about the Republican that are true, but not damning in the themselves, and cap the structure with charges that most likely aren't true, but are damning -- right before the election.
Even if the candidate wins, he's still going to be tainted by the rumors.
But let's turn this around: what do you think the answer to your question is, or should be?

The latest accusations are 36 years old. How can someone defend themselves against something suddenly appearing out of nowhere after that length of time??
Thus far, there are two accusers that have leveled legally injurious allegations. Neither, IMHO, is credible, based on conjectural evidence (commensurate with the he said/she said charges).
Unless such an allegation is made without anti-corroborating evidence after this much time, I believe it is necessary to give the benefit of the doubt to the accused.
If there were a steady stream of such allegations that stemmed from 1977 through today, perhaps I would amend my views.
However, given the pattern of leftist political behavior in the past few decades and how well this fits with the leftist (and political classes, of all stripes), I have to insist that the heretofore unknown accuser have more than what has been presented thus far.
Politics is a vicious sport, and good christians are loathe to engage in it simply because of this type of character assassination. To assume that a man who has demonstrated - to public knowledge - good christian character for 30+ public years to now face ruin based on unsubstantiated charges is reinforcement that only charlatans and con men should be engaged in politics.
Is that what we want for this formerly God-fearing country?

The talking heads and Yertle the Turtle, rumored sodomite ( rumor is he was discharged from Army service, apprehended for sodomy.), cannot comproise to accept a Steve Bannon candidate into the privileged political class in Washington. Conservatives like Moore are the new “niggers” of America.
Therefore it is acceptable to dehumanize Moore. One of the accusers was tearfully exclaining at a presser, 40 years later, alleging tearfully, “I was afraid he would rape me!” ,before all too willing leftist reporters. WHAT A CROCK!
