Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said that if Alabama's Senate candidate Roy Moore wins, he'll face an ethics investigation immediately after he's sworn into office. "It would be a rather unusual beginning," McConnell said, speaking at a Wall Street Journal event.
"I'd like to save the seat, and it's a heck of a dilemma when you've got a completely unacceptable candidate bearing the label of your party within a month of the election," he added.
McConnell is one of several Republicans who have called for Moore to step aside. He has also spoken with President Trump and Vice President Pence about the allegations against the candidate, but Trump has yet to take a public stance on the issue.

1. The Uniparty is the only party in control of the U.S. Congress. There are Ds in it and Rs, but they work together. They take turns at the wheel of the clown car, but they are all on board driving us over the cliff.
2. McConnell is personally compromised and (like McCain, L. Graham, and many others) is under the control of Deep State. They want compromised people (exactly why closet queer boy was picked as Hillary’s running mate) in high positions of power so they can control them. Look at Denny Hastert.
3. Stop thinking of the establishment GOP as having anything to do with conservatives or “America first” political positions. They hate conservatives more than they hate Democrats because Democrats are part of the Uniparty.
4. This is about... Bannon. They want to kill Bannon’s candidate because they know Bannon, riding success, will primary other RINO/Uniparty members and remake Congress with people who actually believe in something other than lining their own pockets.
5. Go back and look what the GOPe did in Mississippi a couple years back. They paid out street cash to black pastors to spread the word the conservative in the race was a KKKer and blacks needed to cross party lines to stop him. There’s no low they won’t go to maintain power.
6. Murdoch is on the board of an open borders group. They’re part of the Chamber of Commerce / Cheap Labor Express and want amnesty. Don’t expect Fox to support Trump or anyone like Moore. Look at Murdoch’s paper in England, the Daily Mail, for all the hit pieces on Trump they run daily.

I was just savoring the potential irony of McConnell having to recuse himself from an ethics investigation of Moore because he is embroiled in litigation over his own ethical violations.
It's moot anyway because I see nothing that shows Moore has done anything even mildly unethical

There is a constitutional principle that the accused shall have the right to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; and to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor; etc.
I'm not sure Moore can expect those kind of protections in a McConnell/Schumer directed legislative inquiry. I'd be surprised if Moore is given any kind of a fair hearing based on the known hurt feelings of so many RINO’s.
But it sure would be interesting to see the video depositions of Moore's accusers and how well the dates, times, and accusations hold up under scrutiny - and under oath.
