She was facing a “death penalty” as soon as she married the muzzie.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
On a scale from 1 to 10 Tramadol ranks about a 2 for strength of opioids.
Returning from Grand Cayman, I realized when I was in line in Miami at US Customs, that I had packed a bottle of over the counter cough medicine I got in Cayman in my suitcase. Watching the customs agent tear apart the backpack of the kid in front of me, I recalled that it contained morphine at a very high percentage.
I was soaking wet when they waived me through without even opening my bag.
Never got over it.
Maybe it was a lot. And maybe when counting it, they don’t count the net weight of drug but gross weight of pills.
New way to get rid of your wife? /s
That would be deviously brilliant.
[ Note to self: Do not bring opioids into Egypt. ]
Note to self: Don’t go vacationing in turd world hell hole basket case countries!
2 out of 10 is too much in zero tolerance countries. Ignorance is a poor excuse because you are warned like a million times before boarding the plane.
Every once in awhile my knee will REALLY hurt. I asked my doc during my last physical for a bottle of Hydrocodone or Oxy or whatever it is that he prescribed last time. He looked at the chart and said “Hmm - that was three years ago. Yeah, I can do that.”
But I also have an old bottle of my wife’s from 5 years ago too! I suppose I should dump those at least in a bottle with my name on it. I can just see getting pulled over for speeding and having “illegal narcotics” in my bag.

Nowadays prescriptions have a description of the pill written on the label. You’d better make sure they all match each other and the label.
Have had that happen to a few friends of mine. The cops usually let them go and knock back the pills as soon as they get near their coffee.
About 20
Supposedly the pills had a street value of about $30 total. If she was a drug runner, she’d be a poor one considering the plane ticket alone would be many times the street value.
It is basically her side of the story. Bottom line is you don’t bring drugs like that into zero tolerance countries. That’s not the first news like that and not the last apparently.
Years ago I was in the Caribbean with my wife and noted all the signs warning about bringing drugs in; I commented at the time that I couldn’t imagine why an American in particular would risk such a thing while outside of the protection of our laws.
The street value of the drugs wasn’t her side of the story. That was the estimate of the UK print.
Good move.
PS - that knee surgery has gotten better. At least the replacement.
Yeah - did he have her smuggle them in and then use it to get rid of her? Something seems a bit off.
I still don’t understand why the hell these folks want to vacation anyplace in the middle east. Women are considered property in those areas, period.
