At least 27 people have died after a gunman opened fire at a church in Texas during Sunday services.
The attack happened at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs in Wilson County.
A police commissioner at the scene confirmed that at least 27 people had died. Several others are reported to be injured.
The San Antonio FBI branch said its agents had been deployed, and there was no indication of the gunman's motive.
The FBI also said that while only one shooter was reported, it was looking into other possibilities.
Local ABC affiliate KSAT 12 reported the gunman entered the church at around 11:30 local time (17:30 GMT). It also said he had been killed in the aftermath.
Photos and video from the scene showed the area taped off by local law enforcement.
A number of helicopters have arrived to transport the wounded, KSAT 12 reporter Max Massey said.
Texas governor Greg Abbott said: "Our prayers are with all who were harmed by this evil act. Our thanks to law enforcement for their response."
He said more details would be released by the Texas Department of Public Safety shortly.

MSNBC reporting that News 4 San Antonio says the sheriff dept. found shell casings outside the church and they’re still investigating.

I posted on fb that we listened to phone calls on the mid shift to stay awake.
We would monitor the trunks between NY and Miami and connect to the intercom speakers. That was always good listening.
I once heard a crime being planned. A man telling two women in exact detail how to to take a man for everything he had. He even gave them instructions on how to exploit personality traits and what the known possessions were.
I heard fugitives on the run calling back to see if their crime was discovered or if anyone was after them. If Miami was not very interesting we would put up the trunks to LA.
I imagine in the digital world monitoring voice calls does not happen as often but it still can be done from test positions in the central office and switch room.
Only if the church doesn't allow it.

Where did you find that? I looked at ChrisWard's Facebook page, shows pleasant-looking guy with younger woman and very young child. Did something happen to his wife and kid that set him off? She left him for someone in the church?

Good grief. What’s this world coming to? Every day another atrocity. Not just throwing a meme out there but truly this is a result of having Obama leading our country for 8 long years. He hates America and has roused the scum into carrying out his goal to destroy America and kill Christians.
